Probably because the terrorists aren't Mexicans. Also, we don't check but a tiny fraction of the containers that come into the United States, so if you close the Southern border, they could just come in through the ports, or through the miles and miles of the unmonitored border with Canada.

Well, obviously the hype that terrorists will swarm into America gien a chance is pure BS. They have the capability--the Londonand Madrid bombings prove that. And, as you say, our southern border remains wide open, so ther's nothing to stop them.
Look at the record--and the facts.
>Unethical businesses are making billions in profits off the illegal status of the immigrants--by paying sub-minimum wages, not paying legally required benefits, and/or by pocketing taxes colleted from workers. These businesses have been magor contributors to the GOP
>the GOP ran Congress for 12 years while this mess grew to the point we have 12 million illegals in this country
>the right-wing in the GOP blocked a bipartisan reform package earlier this year.
I'd say that pretty much says it all--but let's put it together anyway: Either the terrorist threat isjust hype, or we've been very lucky--but either way, its the right-wing Republicans who are responsible for our southern border not being secure. And they--and no one else--are to blame for the 12 million illegals.

stop watching movies. they are bad for the health.
George Bush have killed of the Iraqis and the Afghans about 1000 times more than those who were killed in 9-11. So who is the real terrorist?
As for the southern borders, for your info it doesn't suit to close them. This will stop the flow of the drugs to the US and also stop the arms that are being sent to Mexico and the rest of Latin America, manufactured in American companies. So don't expect a lot of things to happen in the southern borders.

Probably none.
It's more effective to obtain a legal visa to visit the US to attend school, etc and then overstay your visa than to try to sneak over the border.
In any event, terrorist activities by non-citizens is certainly possible (as 9/11 showed), but not likely. In the big picture, most terrorist acts worldwide are committed by citizens of the country that the terrorist act occurred (Oklahoma City bombing, for example).

How can you be so convinced by your government that you should be living in fear of terrorists all the time?
This is simply unbelievable to me. I must assume you're playing.

Because the GOP is beholden to big business and the very cheap labor (no benefits needed) that illegals represent to them.
