So, like the question says, I have a fire department interview. For my background check, I have to check 'yes' or 'no' to a bunch of boxes asking if I have ever been convicted of the following misdemeanors or felonies. Now when I was 16 I was dumb and stole a pack of playing cards from the store and got arrested. But I did the community service and all that jazz and they said that it wouldn't be on my record. Now I can understand that regular jobs won't see it, but since it's like the fire department, will they be able to see it? In essence, I just don't want them to find out the wrong way that I was convicted of it, but I checked 'no' for the box as if I was hiding it, you know what I'm saying?

my boyfriend moved from NY to FL and has a valid driver's license in both. Around his birthday or the expiration date of his NY lisence, he gets something in the mail telling him to renew it, etc. But when I moved from NJ to FL and got my FL license, the DMV asked if I had a license in any other state and I had to give them my license from NJ. Before he sends in the form for his new NY license, I wanted to make sure it isn't a felony or something.

What is the flaw in that argument? and why would certain americans love for you to buy into that story? and what does it say about what value these americans put on freedom of speech, right to privacy, free press, and how do they likely feel about a government that is not really serving the will of its people but is rather dictating what they people do?

I sent it today, this teacher quit on October, I thought he still
worked there but I called later to the school after I sent it and they said he no longer works there since October. Will they send it back to me or will they forward it to his home address even though he quit on October(2 months ago).
If he got fired on October (which I'm thinking he did but not sure), will they forward it to his personal address or will they send it back to my address ?

I'm referring to a small medical community college in a small town. Few students and teachers.

Alot of blacks consider Clarence Thomspon, Michael Steele, and Condoleeza Rice to be Uncle Toms. However none of these blacks considered Colin Powell to be an uncle tom but yet he is a republican. Would he ever get at least half of the black vote if he ran as vp or president?

Here is the deal, I have no idea about copyright information and would like to find out. Ok say i take an photo image of someperson. I want to cartoonize over the image like a template, the finished product is an cartoon image that only holds the same shapes as the photo but has been painted over. The image afterwards looks different then the original with come custom changes. I consider this a form of art but unsure if you can do this and sell the material since it resembles someone since it was painted over. The overall product isnt an exact duplication but a product of said template. can anyone give me some web page material to help me understand copyright. Thanks

Illegal Japanese Whalling is a sensitive issue in Australia and New Zealand, they actually asked for our Naval protection for their immoral and illegal practices in Antarctica and Australian Territorial waters, so if we fired upon them, as we have previously run them out of our waters, would we go to war with Japan ?

The Labor Govt. has sent an armed boat to tail the so called scientific research vessel in the Southern seas. Why are the Opposition complaining when they never got off their bums for 10 long years. Goes to show that once a Stupid government always a stupid government. With all the new faces and changes, it is still a lying opposition.

I had heard that former President Clinton was 5th and came from behind and won. I do rememeber that John Kerry was not in the top and got the nod and just wondering where was George Bush when he first ran. Didn't know if he got it because of name or not. Know it was him and Sen. McCain.

Anyway just thinking it is too early and doesn't matter who wins the first deals or does history peg it different. Take care.

okay just answered a question about welfare that brought up some anger so here it goes....

why is it that in my job i had to get drug-tested to work there but a man/woman going to the welfare office collecting my money doesnt need to take a drug test? so its illegal for me to buy drugs....but its still my money purchasing it right?

I have 2 jobs and just asked welfare for a bit of foodstamps to help me survive the month not a lot maybe 40-50 a month.nope you know why? because im not pregnant, disabled, or have kids thats what they told me? so basically if i pop out a kid their gonna buy my food when i have no job.But when im being resposible and have jobs they wont let me?

They told me i had to work 80 hours a month to be eligible for food stamps-i work 90-100 and i have to have 100-120 for medical? because im over 80-no food stamps under 100 no medical? what is that crap?

and why are these people able to have a kid without having to get on b/c?i dont wanna pay for them?
