China is investing a great deal of money on EMP technologies and so are we. Electro Magnetic Pulse weapons theorhetically can shut down entire states, even countries electronically. Should we view them as our number ONE threat to America and our future exhistance? Or should they take a back seat to more traditional threats like nuclear or conventional arms?

I heard on the news that before the invasion there were 2 million Christians in Iraq and hundreds of churches. Now all the churches are empty or destroyed and most of the Christians have been killed or fled the country. What few Christians that are left are living in fear and hiding. The "religious cleansing" is being carried out by the Shia militia that the Bush administration is arming and supporting. Can anyone in Iraq confirm that this is true?

so basically one of my best friends, me, and other friends were over my best friends house, and well,my best friend decides to scare us and throw a firework, so we all run away, and one of the girls, jumps up herself and supposedly breaks her ankle, and has to go to the ER.

she doesnt have any insurance.

so now shes planning to sue my best friend, isnt that ridiculous, and she refuses to pay medical bills.

and get this, her family got evicted from their home, her father spent all their money on drugs. and her parents are losers who dont want to work, but the girl, keeps herself in good shape and you wouldnt think her families like that.

but, shes greedy. and definetely was a FAKE friend. she lost so many friends from this.

This hapened about 4 months ago, and i guess we havent heard much from the case, but recently we just heard shes trying to sue for $10,000.

Who do you think would win the case? This was an accident. and shes sueing very much.

They hate Romney because he is a Mormon, but what if Huckabee asks him to join the ticket? Would they view Huckabee as a traitor, or would Romney suddenly be OK?

the gun advocates are all about having citizens armed to the teeth yet whenever one of these mass shootings occurs..they are mysteriously absent to 'save the day'
Makes me think in fact theres way too many guns out there and in the hands of kids..what a disgrace this place has become.

After they left, there parents called back and found out that I wasn't that friend. Could the parent go to jail for that or not?

As you can see USA HAVE been investing here for YEARS..
QUOTE "Almost throughout the troubles, despite divisive splits over policy, Noraid has been raising money for Sinn Fein in the US. In the 1980s Noraid raised about $300,000 a year for Sinn Fein and a few years ago a New York fundraising dinner raised over $100,000. Today a similarly high profile event could raise many times that.
In 1982 Noraid co-founder Martin Flannery told a New York court he had supplied money for IRA arms since the late 1950s. Mr Flannery, who emigrated to America in 1927 after fighting for the IRA’s north Tipperary brigade in the civil war, said the bulk of the IRA’s arms and money since 1970 had come from America." last week I was confronted outside the store about some items, brought me in to the store, didn't have the items with me. Yes, I had actually put the items in my cart, walk away without them. Anyway, he called the police, it was a private arrest (don't know what that means) I was finger printed, I have a court date. What I'm really worry is that when the guy from the store made the report, he mentioned 1,500 in stuff, I;m really scare now, I've been in that store so many times, buying, returning and also many times without buying anything. Never had a problem like this. I'm terrified. I;m close to 50 years old. Please any advice?

Is it just me or do the neoconservatives of the Republican Party seem to want the US to become the next Nazi Germany. The policies they enact and the laws they want seem to change the US slowly into a modern day version of Nazi Germany with civil liberties being destroyed, a desire to eradicate those that they don't agree with, and a war to destroy a group that believes differently than they do all for the greater glory of their party.

I don't have a box in front of my home, and I gotta get all my stuff through a pobox.

If you give a 9 digit zip (xxxxx-xxxx), do places realise that the last four digits are your pobox number? and will they auto send stuff to you there even when you give a physical address.

Around 3 and a half years ago my girlfriend stayed at some temporary accommodation at University. No tenancy agreement was signed, or in fact any contract or agreement as such. For whatever reason, she was never billed, until recently when they began chasing the money.

Not being able to remember how long she actually stayed there for or even how much the weekly rent was, my girlfriend asked to see what documentation they had about the stay. They sent all they had in the post, which consisted of the following:

- An 'application' for accommodation - this is essentially a list of people's names registering an interest in accommodation on a piece of plain paper
- An acknowledgment that keys were collected - this was signed not by her, but me - I am officially nothing to do with the tenancy. Again, this is just a list of names with MY signature by the side

Putting moral obligations aside could she legally be forced to pay this bill of around £800.

This question was asked here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070830085555AAEyxHC
But I had a few more questions related to the subject:
Has anyone or does anyone know of someone who has successfully enlisted in the military as a classified 1A0 non-combatant, or recieved non-combatant status after enlisting?
If so, what MOSs/AFSCs/Ratings were available to you/them? (Medical positions are commonly mentioned, are there any others available? I'm hoping specifically for an engineering position, most likely in the Air Force.)
Does anyone have any factual or experiental data on the likelihood of being accepted or denied enlistment as a result of applying for non-combatant status, and any factors that affect that likelihood (such as recruiting needs, Active/Reserve status, ASVAB scores, stressed AFSCs, personal impressions, etc.)?
If you have personal experience with this process or know someone who does, is there any other advice you have?
Thank you for your assistance!
