I went to the straw poll here in Ames, Iowa for Duncan Hunter. There weren't many of us. I think he got about 169 votes. That's not much.

However, I guess it's good for me but bad for him, because there were so few people in his area, I got to talk to him one-on-one for a few minutes, talked to one of his sons, and I walked away a bigger supporter than when I came.

When he gave his speech, he was the only one who talked about real solutions to illegal immigration, and yes, that is a HUGE problem here in Iowa, talked about trade imbalances, and talked about China. Not exactly things that make good sound-bites, but those are issues that are really important to me.

I like that he isn't dropping out. I am going to caucus for him, knowing full well that his group will simply not be viable and I will have to go to another group. But, that's democracy.

just because he's not popular does not mean he's wrong.
By staying in the race, he can force the other candidates to modify their stances on issues and have a positive effect on change, even though he probably doesn't stand much chance of winning.

Hey, I have been saying for 2 months - Go Hunter!

I prefer him on every issue across the board.

Maybe he can help us pass the split electoral vote for our state?

You'd have to ask him. He's a mess.

Cheers.
