I had a refund check from a verizon store mailed to me for 86.90. I never recieved it. So I called the store and they say it was cashed on Oct.29th. and at the bank that i bank at! They have a copy of it so i can come see the signature after work today. Do you think the bank would of let my husband cash a check written to me if we have a joint bank acct? or do you think a stranger like a neighbor that got the wrong mail could've done it?

how does soemone even get away with that without id at a bank ?

My grandson has just been offered a package of three school trips - roman ruins - theatre - mosque. Now while I can understand the first two, I cant understand why on earth they would include the third! Would they take Moslems to a Church? I somehow don't think so. I feel incensed by this and wonder what else they are shoving down our kids throats while at school!.

Looks like Iran is proceeding with its nuclear weapons program and will have a functional nuclear device in a couple of years.
Should we:
1) hope they show restraint?
2) take a proactive approach in denying them the ability to make a nuclear device?
3) mind our own business and let the rest of the world's nations decide what to do?
4) none of the above and offer your ideas?

when you have gotten your way, income above $250k is taxed at 70-80%, and the rich CONTINUE to distance themselves from the poor, simply because they continue to do the things that make them rich, while the poor continue to do things that make them poor?

Will you continue your class warfare quest, screeching from every forum that income inequality is out of control, and that the rich are not paying "their fair share" of taxes?

It was entitled "judgement day" and focused on the Intelligent Design-Evolution court case stemming from Dover, PAn school board.

An excellent window into the desire by some religious fundamentalists to control science and force dogma onto the citizens... A "must see", and a prime example why there needs to be clear separation of church and state...

Any thoughts to share?

Serious answers please. I have heard many different estimates ranging from 10 million to 25 million illlegals inside the U.S? Either way this is a whole lot of people! I don't see it reasonable to remove all of them. Not because I feel they belong but because this task would go on forever and the money and time spent would be better allocated toward border protection and then as they brake the law (serious laws not minor traffic laws) put them on work crews building this great fence, then deport them after there times been served. Being as that all 10+ million have broke the law, not nearly all 10+ million are currently involved in criminal activity or are they? I feel there must be a reasonable compromise? I can't see a multi department task force rounding up millions and millions. I don't feel its that easy. I understand people are upset about illegals and what not, so what's the reasonable action to be taken?

i am joining the guard in 2weeks. i initially wanted to go for a skilled trade mos (electrician, plumbing), later on i was told that those jobs have more of a deployment and fatality rate than infantry.

granted, infantry is my third choice. but i just wanted to know if there is any truth to this....i just wouldnt think that a skilled trade mos would be as frontline, if anything i would think that they would be on base more.

i have no issue with deployment (i know it is part of the terrortory), but this just seemed strange to me.

He made the laws and also formed his opinion before the "trial" even began.

Will He, out of honor be forced to be absent or at least a silent spectator to the final judgement?

Please be honest and serious in your answers. (unless it's hilarious...then go ahead.

There are more people on earth than there are resources, organization and transportation to keep people alive. 10 million children will die from lack of medical care this year. 100 million need to be adopted, and will not be adopted. The pro life movement could save these people simply by redirecting their massive resources to these proven needs. Yet they choose to focus on saving a fetus. It is a fact that each time they use resources to save an unwanted fetus, they cause the death of a wanted fetus or child. There is no net gain in lives saved. In fact it is proven that each "saved" fetus causes the death of 12 loved and wanted children.
For that reason I am repossessing the name "pro life" and reissuing a more appropriate name "anti life". Those who are now "pro life" should refrain from using that term and now use the name I have issued you. :-) It would also be nice if "prolifers" would quit taking donations under false pretenses. http://www.prolifeismurder.com

A correctional billing company has charged me an excessive amount for phone calls from my son who is incarcerated. I need to know how and what kind of attorneys handle these types of cases. Also I need to know if I can find an attorney for no cost if no recovery. I have read about so many people being overcharged by this company and no one seems to know who to contact about this. I cannot afford to pay this bill especially after the company did not disclose what the charges for the calls would be and my son was in a police station lockup when the calls were made and not in a correctional center. I think this is a ripoff and something needs to be done.

For those who know, I'm investigating the benefits in each branch of the Military. Yesterday, I participated in an online chat with an Air Force recruiter and was seriously disappointed with his lack of enthusiasm for his branch, and drive to "sell" it to me.
I'm a College Grad with interest in intelligence, strategy, military history or PERHAPS pilot/nav. positions. My father is retired Army (Col.) and helping me a bit, but would appreciated any informed suggestions.
Thanks!

I posted a question last week about our police chief asking for an 8% increase in the police budget, I questioned him at a town meeting as to WHY are you wanting more of our money when in fact our population is down 11%, crime is DOWN all over and taxes are rising. The local police are no more responsible for lowering crime than the rooster is for making the sun rise...I proved that in our declining population and several other items. Counsel was 100% in favor of giving him whatever he wanted (they want the endorsement come election time)..I confronted the cheif in our meeting..he couldn't answer me...I wrote letters to the editor...after the PEOPLE of our town understood...they were OUTRAGED like me...just the FACT .

Counsel voted last night..........DOWN GOES THE CHIEF
The people BEAT this waste...WE CAN WIN!!!

NEXT:
I just wrote a letter to the editor about Sheriff Deputy salaries, ave $84.500 a YEAR. I posted with that the MOST dangerous jobs in our state...
