Never in recent history have I ever seen a President so slapped and questioned about his intelligence? If it’s controversial, then it must have some validity wouldn't you think?

Illegal immigration, run away taxes, terrorism, weak dollar? Some say morals, others say political corruption. I say it's the split in our country's ideologies. America was founded on individual freedoms based on a free market(capitalist) economic system with our nation recognizing our national sovereignty. Today America houses a large segment of our society that believes in communal freedoms based on a shared(wealth redistribution)economic system with no national sovereignty(one world). This split has all but tubed America as a viable country for the near future in my opinion. Are there more important issues in your opinion, & if so, why?

I guess this is more of a discussion point rather than question/answer.

For the past few decades there have been more and more controls put in place by the police/government to identify and track us.

Automatic Number Plate Recognition - your every move in your vehicle can be tracked by the police at any time, any place through the 2000CCTVs placed on the roads/speed cameras/petrol stations.

CCTVs - A substantial number of CCTVs have been installed across the UK that are accessible by the police or any other government authority for research or policing purposes.

ID Cards - Seems like this will happen at some point in the future whether we like it or not, with your finger prints and other physical attributes logged and recorded.

Am I the only person who feels uncomfortable at the fact that my every move is/could be monitored by the police like a criminal?

What next, microchipping individuals so that they can be located by GPS?

Are we finally becoming a total police state? With ID cards for all, DNA databases for all, unlimited detention without trial for suspects.....where will it end? All in the name of "anti terror".
A police state that the SS or the Stazi would have been proud of?

Wednesday November 14, 2007 on the House floor, Rep. John Boehner said, "... and who doesn't think that if we get out of Iraq, they won't follow us home and we will have to deal with them on the streets of America?"

Now, I understand the fear of this; BUT, is that not completely immoral to say? Is that not the exact thing as stating innocent Iraqi lives are not as valuable as American lives?

Is this not saying that it doesn't matter that we started a war in Iraq that turned out to not be for valid reasons and now we have brought Al Qaeda there... so too bad that Iraqis have to die because of our mistake?

Is he not saying that it is better our mistake cost Iraqi lives and not ours?

How is this moral, Christian behavior?

AUSTRALIAN pay packets swelled almost 5 per cent in the year to August, with the average wage now $57,324

SO..... that;s the average .. without tell you how much I earn .. I can tell you I am WAY WAY WAY below .. AND then you have people who are WAY WAY WAY below what I earn ...

and John Howard and Peter Costello expect those below the average NOT to struggle with the increases in the cost of Petrol and gas, fresh food and interests rates .....

THEY HAVE NO IDEA .. and yet they expect us to vote them back in ?

what say you ??
