Several years ago, a guy I was dating gave me an old patch off of his military uniform. Needless to say, the relationship was short lived and I have already had it much longer then I've needed or wanted to. He does not want it back so what is the proper way to dispose of it?

Thanks for your help!!

My husband has orders to move the whole family overseas, but I am scared to death to fly. (He is the service member, I am the wife.) How do I get a medical certificate that says I have a bona fide fear of flying? There has got to be a way the Army can put me on some kind of ship. I am having serious anxiety issues concerning this upcoming PCS move, and if I have to get on a place, I believe I will have a nervous breakdown. Help!

Can I get a medical certificate to get me out of flying? How?

Will the Army pay for a cruise instead of a flight, or do they have some kind of ship I can get on?

Is there a way to get out of the PCS move altogether & stay stateside?

Thanks for the info!

From what I have seen, Ron Paul has most of his support on or around college campuses. Sure, I can see why this would be so. With his wanting to just wanting to walk out of Iraq right this moment. Many college student would fear the draft, subliminally if not vocally, and I can not blame them for this.

Yet, I wonder how many of them are in college on financial aid. Paul voted against an increase in federal grant money that supplies many of his supporters with classes, textbooks, and, in some cases, room and board.

I just find that a little ironic. The guy getting alot of support from college students voted against what's keeping many of them there.

What do you think?

My Mom lived in a town called La Chapelle Gauthier in the Seine et Marne region of France during WWII. Around August 25 (her birthday) she was liberated by American troops. I'd like to know if anyone knows what units may have got through there. She has some memory of the day, but she never left the house. I'd like to learn any stories anyone has of that day in the town.

I broke my foot while working because heavy material fell on it. Since the doctor has ordered me to stay home, I want to know if there is a law that the company I work for has to pay for my salary while I'm at home. I live in the US. Can someone help me out here? I got children so I still need my weekly checks and this accident was not my fault. Thanks to all of you for answering me.

A system in which everyone is treated equally under the law, where everyone is paid equally regardless of job, etc, and generally a system that values the average citizen. What do you say about that? Don't you see our current economic system highly unjust? It seems as if it is okay for the rich capitalists to exploit the working class by paying them less than their labour is worth.

I'll be honest with you I'd give him a 6 or 7. Maybe a 6.5

I would give him a 6.5 because he provided better education/school systems all across America. He also raised gas prices up which increased the inflation of gas which helps my family's company.
I dislike him for sending out innocent troops to Iraq in this pointless war.

PS- I think he is a good guy and I also believe a lot of people over look George W. Bush. I give the guy credit for trying his best to do his job.

What would you rate George W. Bush 1-10 (10 being the best).

When he's out of office he can no longer try to claim immunity as a head of state or government official. Nor can he claim immunity as former state official, as international law does not recognize such immunity in the case of international crimes including the crime of torture.
Does this apply only outside the United States?

When was the technology invented to measure temperature accurately to within one-tenth of a degree? We are told that the Earth has warmed by 0.70 degrees. But how far back in time do accurate measurements go? Didn't we invent thermometers (other than very crude models) only about 150 years ago?

Al Gore and others presume to tell us what Carbon dioxide concentration was at different times in Earth's history. They tell us they know this from gas pockets in glaciers. ARE GAS POCKETS IN GLACIERS IMPERMEABLE? Can gas molecules escape from a hole inside the ice and move through the ice over a period of thousands of years? What if there was life inside the gas pocket? If there was plant life like algae inside the pocket (before layers piled up on top, above, wouldn't the plant life use of CO2 and lower the measurement? If it was animal life, like tiny bugs, wouldn't it increase the carbon dioxide in the ice pocket? How can a gas pocket in a glacier accurately reflect the atmosphere of thousands of years ago?

I don't like the fact that our government has allowed an unlimited supply of cheap labor to come into our country any more than the rest of you, but how many of you realize what would happen if all the illegal immigrants got sent home today? How many of you know what would happen if you got your fondest dream and all the illegal immigrants got rounded up and sent home in one glorious flag-waving day? Do you realize that there would not be any milk in your store by the end of the week? Do you realize that a large percentage of American dairy cows would die in their free stalls from mastitis? I'm not saying this country has to be dependent on multi-thousand cow dairies that can't exist without illegal Hispanic workers. But right now it is. So maybe we should fix that before we start picking on hard working Mexican and Guatamalans.
