Can Senator Clinton win? Based on current numbers, she appears to be the most likely candidate to win. That doesn't mean that she will, but it means that it is well within the possibility.

While recognizing the flaws of polls taken twelve months before the election, they do indicate that the present environment favors the Democratic nominee (and Clinton has strong support among Democratic voters, though many worry that she is too conservative for their tastes and too disliked to win). Things can change between now and next November, but the current economic trends do not look good for Republicans and, even with Republicans in charge of the investigations, it seems like more shoes are about to drop on Republicans in Congress.

Most people talking about whether she can or can't are talking not from a hard look at the political environment, but from wishful thinking. Recent results show that, even in Republican strongholds, the Republicans are looking very vulnerable. Some of this will change when there is a Republican nominee to allow the focus to shift from a very unpopular president. But today, there is certainly a window of opportunity for the eventual Democratic nominee, and Hillary looks like the most likely (though others still have a fighting chance) Democratic nominee.

Hillary will be destroyed by the conservatives immediately after getting the nomination. Most liberals know they are really taking a chance with her and may turn against her if more mistakes are made like happened in the last few weeks.

They can, but I'm not sure Hillary Clinton is the best candidate - we're starting to see chinks in her armour - and that's from her own mistakes and fellow party members. Wait till the Republicans get a hold or her and thank her for her support of the war.

Not if it's obama or hillary. America won't vote for a black man of muslim descent and I do believe we haven't seen what's to come for hillary yet.

Maybe but sexism by male voters and the traditional reluctance of American voters to give the White House to the party controlling Congress will count against her.

Why do you doubt it? Bush has laid all the groundwork for the Democrrats to win, and Hillary has laid all the groundwork to beat her Democratic rivals. You are living in historic times.
