Yes. The Democrat party is no longer run by Democrats.
Republicans today have far more in common with F.D.R. than the prominent Democrats currently in congress
The current Democrat Party Chief didn't like what F.D.R. did to protect America in World War 2 (not talking about concentration camps). The party has been taken over by 1960's, 1970's, and 1980's hippies that have grown up. Pelosi is a true hippy. Just look at her voting record when she was working in San Francisco in the 1980's.
Historically both Democrats and Republicans never liked hippies.
Pacifists don't realize there is no such thing as "world peace". Man has been fighting since the beginning of time and that fighting will increase since the population of the earth continues to increase. Political ideology, religion, and land disputes cause most wars.
In WW 2, Democrat F.D.R. used military tribunals to find enemy combatants guilty. Within hours of the court rulings, Democrat F.D.R . had terrorists immediately executed.
Todays, liberals would be screaming from mountain tops if our government did the same today.
A real Democrat and World War 2:
"On August 8, 1942, FDR completed his review of the proceedings. The President ordered the execution of six of the men, sparing Burger and Dasch because they had cooperated. (Burger was given life, and Dasch, 30 years.) FDR felt his actions sent a message to Hitler, as well as those who cooperated. ...Within hours, all six of the men given death sentences were executed in the electric chair. The rationale for the use of the death penalty seems to have been that all of the men could legally have been shot when they landed in their Nazi uniforms. Moreover, according to the logic of the day, they had only compounded their offense by changing into civilian clothing to go about their mission."

All the great presidents would be rolling over in their graves over the Dems and also the occupants of the White House of late. US hasn't had a good president since Truman except perhaps JFK. You've had mentally challenged Reagan, ineffectual Carter, arraogant SOB Johnson, criminal Nixon, ineffectual Eisenhower, klutz but well meaning Ford, proffiteer GHW Bush, liar and incompetent GW Bush, liar and questionable morals Clinton and to look forward will likely get "say what everyone wants to hear" Hillary or where the heck does he stand, marry three times" Gulliani or rabid right wing-nut Thompson or niave but otherwise tolerable Obama.
I think all you can do is cut your losses and vote for the guy with the best looking fan - that would be Obama.

Dude, what's up with all the fear tactics and apocolyptic mentality when it comes to liberals? FDR and JFK were liberals and the Democratic party has moved to the right since Reagan. Please, educate yourself before you post. You should know better than ridiculous tactics like this.

FDR and JFK would be more concerned about the way Bush and the Republicans are attempting to pervert the country.
