yes it will. Every election has a voting problem because the voting system that we use in the US has problems. A third party could run and take votes away from others or somebody could lose in the primary that would have won in the election.
For example a republican that was very close in the primaries but is more favorable in general, by non republicans, than the person that won the Republican primary could lose.
There are voting systems that are designed to take care of these things, like Ranked Pairs but we don't use them. Another thing that could go wrong is that the electoral college could disagree with the popular vote.
Hopefully I'm not sounding too negative. Our election system is pretty good even with its flaws and we usually get the right person elected. I do, however, have a strong opinion that "An election system needs to represent the will of the people better than ours does".

There are always voting problems and disputes. Most of the time, they are not significant enough to effect the election but they occur.
Working at the local level, I can tell you that folks always complain that based on parking spaces, the number of judges, and the number of voting booths that it takes longer to vote in some precincts than in others in the same county. There are always some problems with the accuracy of the voting rolls. There are always some problems with voters going to the wrong place to vote.
Aside from those issues, we are getting a little better at having a verifiable and auditable record of votes as well as standards for resolving disputes about votes. No system of recording and counting votes is perfect and there will always be glitches. The tough thing with statistical glitches (as shown by the 2006 election in Sarasota County, Florida) is that it is impossible afterwards to determine if it was merely a weird coincidence or if there was a real problem with the machines that for whatever reason can't be duplicated.

Will a democrat be punching a hole in a piece of paper? Any time a democrat loses, guess who whines? Didn't hear a whole lot of demands for a recount after the November elections of last year. Did ya?

It depends on what side you are on. If your a republican It will be just fine. You win. even if you lose the vote because the supreme court will just apoint you. Any one else remember that in 2000?
Diebold, You know the people who make the voting machines. Look up who they lobby the most.... Always follow the money... Always.
And for the people that will say. "Soar Loser" I don't mind losing but I can stand being cheated!!!

Of course there will be. The only people keeping an eye on them are a few old people in Florida and all they can do is post it. Mainstream America seems pretty content with its fake democracy.
