top killers in the world, and don't contain both an addictive drug and ingredients that are carcinogenic from the "get go", what can be done about tobacco products. I was not asking about all products that have potential harm. One specific product. Tobacco. It is a major killer. It has been allowed to continue to that venue by our government all in the name of money. There are alternatives to tobacco crops that will work and feed the hungry. I am asking. What is the kind, gentle, considerate way to rid this country and any others that wish to solve a huge problem, to nip this crap in the "leaf"? Come on people. Think. Are there really any smokers that are informed completely that would still chose to smoke if they had all the information? I would like to chat with them if they exist. Or is it really that tobacco product users are misinformed and unable to quit because of the addictive quality and cost of stopping? Quit defending a wrong. Solve 1 problem at at time or?

My neighbor accused me of stealing a package (his) that was allegedly left at my door by a DHL delivery guy. I didn't take it so I don't know what to do now. Could it be a scam? Should I sue him for defamation? What should I do?

The thing I don't understand is if a candidate wins the popular vote like in 2000, but doesn't get elected because he loses the electoral college, what is the point of voting? Does the popular vote mean anything? Which one determines who gets elected and why do we need 2 different ways to vote? This is driving me crazy and it is hard to find an answer online that can fully explain my question.

Yeah that's a little creepy.

Shouldn't you be more concerned with spreading your knowledge and sharing your opinion, and helping answer the questions people have about the world, or maybe just sharing a joke and a virtual smile with a stranger?

Presently, the non-custodial parent pays child support to the custodial parent. Typically, the non-custodial parent gets the child every other weekend, or in an average month, just 4 out of 30 days.

Payment seems backwards to me. Rather, the custodial parent should be required to pay the non-custodial parent to compensate them for the loss of their child.

That is how it works with everything else in a divorce. For example, if one party is awarded the house, that party must pay the other party. Same with a car, boat, or anything else. But, not with a child. Shouldn't who pays whom be reversed?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HR_1955

HR 1955, the so-called "Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act" makes it a crime to hold any view which the government decides to claim is extreme.

This piece of legislation is Neo-McCarthyist and is designed to intimidate and oppress opposition groups. It has absolutely nothing to do with "terrorism," but is rather directed entirely against the American people. The Democrats and Republicans alike voted for this piece of crap.

When it was passed by the House, Ron Paul was out of town, but Jeff Flake, Dana Rohrabacher (an Anarcho-Capitalist when he was younger), Neil Abercrombie, Jerry Costello, Dennis Kucinich, and John Duncan voted against it.

It still must be passed by the Senate, so it can still be stopped. What are you doing to stop this evil and Orwellian piece of legislation from ever passing?

I lived in the South West for many years, where Conservative beliefs were prevalent, and Liberals were seen as a major source of 'what's wrong with America.' Now I live in the East where Liberalism is considered 'common sense' and Conservatives are seen as a large, scary organization bent on ruining America.

If we actually compiled a list of things we all agreed on, though, I think we'd find that we had more in common than we thought...
