Lets say I'm riding my bicycle and a car throws lets say a soda bottle or a cd at me. What exactly am I allowed to do? Obviously I can't chase and take a picture of the car.

Another question is lets say I get 'attacked' by someone with a knife. I'm allowed to use a weapon equivalent to his/her knife correct? How do laws work on what I can do to protect myself in terms of how I do it / what I use?
Thanks a lot

I think it's time to open the phone lines so the government monitors at least 50% of our daily calls. People say downright mean things on the phone about other people and honestly I am sick of it.

Let's petition the government to keep us line. (I don't mean me though, as I already AM in line, but good people like me have to suffer because some idiots abuse their freedom.)

Who is with me?

unpopular with the american people I mean.
Like his war in Iraq, his wanting to give amnesty and guest worker status and not securing the border, his wanting to kill social security..etc....it seems on all these big Bush positions he went out and tried to convince the american people that they were wrong and that he was right...and the american people said to him "NO SALE".

We are getting ready for our first deployment, and at the FRG meeting they mentioned about the Eagle Cash card. While he's deployed, I want to work on paying off all our debts as well as putting more into our savings account.

The thing though, is how much money does he need each month while over there? Will he still need to pay to eat at the DFAC? What kind of expenses will he have?

Another thing is that we have a family plan cell phone? It only has him and myself on it? What happens with the family plan cell phone?

We have like 6 weeks left before he gets deployed, and I just want to tie up loose ends so it will be less stressful!! I'd rather not worry about this stuff in the last few days when I should be concentrating all my time on him. Ah!

I've just finished a book written my macroeconomist Jeffery Sachs, entitled: The End of Poverty. He describes in detail a plan to end poverty by 2025. Although his reasoning is possible, it fails to acount for human greed, corruption, scocial class barriers, etc. Its kinda scary that Sachs is an internationally renowed economist that is leading this country's policy concerning foreign economic development. Anyways, it would be nice to belief that someday we could achieve the end of poverty. Can we? Definetly not 2025, but what about 3025?

Go figure: In the beginning God created man & woman. Everyone say bc of Eve sin & pain began Adam was told not to eat from the garden specifically from GOD himself. Point: Women can infuence be influenced, nuture, produce, improvise, get things done, caring, giving, affectional, smart, outgoing, speak up, stand strong, independant, reliable, faithful, beautiful, determined etc....... the list can go on forever! It suppose to be so "they say a mans world" look around how is the world now? Violence, war, poverty, scandal, greed, lust, etc.... Point #2 since it was a woman who suppose to have caused the sin on earth let her fix it before it ends. God is coming and he is coming soon these are the sighns of time! Hillary can and may get more to eternal life. Men had a chance and look at the outcome! GO HILLARY GO

My husband will be graduating with a B.S in computer science this May. We're looking to move to Huntsville, Alabama because of the number of high level tech jobs available with defense contractors down there. Some of the jobs he's seen advertised require a current security clearance for all applicants. How easy is it to get one of those and how much does it cost?

He's 24, is a natural born US citizen and has no criminal record whatsoever, he's never even had a speeding ticket.

He's the son of a retired Air Force Master Sergeant and lived on military bases until he was 19 so he's familiar with the military personnel procedures for getting one of those things but he has no idea how to get one as a civilian

Last night I went to a friend's 18th and was planning on staying designated so i could drive home afterwards. I had one beer when I arrived at 8:30pm and about 5 glasses of pineapple punch (which 5 people told me was NON ALCOHOLIC). at 2am I left and got pulled over and RBT'd and the policeman said my BAC was 0.115. I got arrested and have to go to court on the 6th of december.

Will it help in court that somebody poured alcohol in the punch without anyone's knowledge? I am only 17 and on my Provisional P1 license and have never even had a speeding fine.

I really need some advice about what to do in court etc and what would my penalty be?

The only good thing the weasals who actually think they did something good for the American people is by raising the wages and telling us they pulled it off with a sh eating grin is the only thing they actually did at all and I do not think it amounts to anything to help the American people. Have you noticed when you get a raise in minimum wage (like how do you live on that?) All busnesses raise their prices some are raised double . so noone benefits a thing but maybe they take more taxes out. They just laugh at us and we all just take it from these weasel's who need to be replaced they are not for us it's all about them! Call them the do nothing clan who is slowing destroying America if we do nothing about it,don't vote for people who do more damage and blame the next guy

As the 2nd Amendment of the Bill of Rights reads:

"A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

My question is this: Am I the only person who see's the fact that Military is controlled by the government and that Militias, necessary at the time of writing this document, are virtually nonexistant in the context of which they were writing?

No longer having groups like the Minute Men, do we really need freedom to bear fully automatic assault rifles?

Guns in the late 1700s were muzzle loaders which weren't accurate at 30 feet. Today we have fully automatic pistols, which cost nothing to manufacture, that can be concealed under a jacket. Do people really need weapons like this to keep up a nonexistant Militia??

Political corruption is the root cause for corruptions in all categories, whether in Government or ptrivate. No honest person can enter politics. See the horse trading in politics. Kidnapping all MLAs and keep them in unknown places and produce them before the Governor.Oh God, what is the use of praying you, if you don't punish corrupt fellows, instantly. There is no use telling or begging you, so far. You are continuosly proving your NON EXISTANCE. Pity you are still worshipped

The NIE coordinates the judgments of 16 intelligence agencies on a specific country or issue.

There is a split in the intelligence community on how much of a threat the Iranian nuclear programme poses, according to the intelligence official’s account. Some analysts who are less independent are willing to give the benefit of the doubt to the alarmist view coming from Cheney’s office, but others have rejected that view.

The draft NIE first completed a year ago, which had included the dissenting views, was not acceptable to the White House, according to the former intelligence officer. “They refused to come out with a version that had dissenting views in it,” he says.

As recently as early October, the official involved in the process was said to be unclear about whether an NIE would be circulated and, if so, what it would say.

I liked Duncan Hunter after the first time I read his views on issues, and throughout the debates. After watching him on Glenn Beck tonight, for an hour long Q&A chat; I'm liking him even more. He has a lot of common sense solutions to our problems. Too bad he doesn't have much of a shot at the nomination.

Does defense spending include the development of new weapons? I'm trying to write a novel, and this is the scenario:
A U.S. senator is a strong supporter of military spending, which would fund the development of a new nuclear weapon. A small group of people hopes to prevent the development of the weapon and tries to kill the senator.
