Waterboarding is torture.

Michael Mukasey cannot admit to this basic fact.

I respect Michael Mukasey and believe he is an intelligent and capable man. However, given our recent history, it is important that our next attorney general be able to stand up to the President and for the rule of law. I am not confident that Michael Mukasey will.

If he can't say no to torture - congress should say no to Mukasey.

While Michael Mukasey refuses to answer the question of whether waterboarding is torture, the precedent is clear. In 1947, Yukio Asano, a Japanese officer, was sentenced to 15 years of hard labor for performing a form of waterboarding on an American citizen.

In 2004, Daniel Levin, who was then acting assistant attorney general, volunteered to be waterboarded. Later, he told the White House "even though he knew he wouldn't die, he found the experience terrifying and thought that it clearly simulated drowning."
If Michael Mukasey cannot answer the simple question of of whether or not waterboarding is torture, he should not serve as attorney general.

Our health care workers live that terror every day. Trial lawyers prey on doctors, hospitals, nursing homes and health care providers to sue them for anything they can get a jury to agree.

Trial lawyers target poor people with ads that promise "lottery" winnings without any cost- win or lose, to create a case against anyone with money.

Trial lawyers cause our economy to be inefficient; raising costs for the law suits and insurance to protect people doing business.

Here comes Micheal Moore with "Sicko". Trial lawyers get a complete pass- why?

For being the (self-proclaimed) people of "peace" , I've yet to find one who isn't so angry that they are hard to debate in a civil manner.(Most people have varying degrees of liberal/conservative views,in my opinion.)

Michael Moore takes careful aim to attack the fabric of our capitalistic society, to undermine what we believe in. He uses blatantly false and heavily biased tricks and lies to fool people. He knows Hollywood and the news media will support his biased "mock-u-mentaries" because his message is consistent with the liberal media's preferences.

e.g. "SICKO" His diatribe about health care did not focus on the number one problem in health care- trial lawyers. Health providers have mercenaries trying to collect "lottery" level awards to exploit anything they can prove is a mistake. Trial lawyers fill our courts with frivolous law suits. Hospitals, doctors, nursing homes are terrorized by trial lawyers, forcing many out of business and having to move. How in heck can you complain about the health care crisis and support trial lawyers who are terrorists without weapons.

Is it a surprise Michael Moore gave trial lawyers a pass, in "Sicko", focusing on socialist and communist ideals?

Terrorists, Nazis and Liberals: Want there religion to be the only established government religion in the world. Consevatives: you can have and practice any religion you want even Islam and liberalism, even if it offends others, as long as it does not harm another person.

Terrorists, Nazis and Liberals: Want no citizen to have have guns of any kind for any reason except them. Conservatives: Every legal citizen not convicted of a fellony can own firearms in the USA.

Terrorists, Nazis and Liberals: Only freedom of speach for those who agree with their views.
Consevatives: Freedom of speech for all.(even if they disagree with Conservatives.

Terrorists, Nazis and Liberals: Special rights and treatment based on race and color of skin.
Conservatives: No special treatment for anyone.

Terrorists, Nazis and Liberals: Indoctrination of children through the school system with propaganda video
(I.E. "an inconvenient truth")
Conservatives: stick to the 3 R's

How much will the kids of Utah continue to suffer by having one of the worst school systems in the nation?

Will the Teachers Unions ever do anything worthwhile to help the boys and girls of Utah get a better education?

The NEA defeated the idea of using vouchers.

I work in an Emergency room and constantly we see people in their 20's and 30's who say they are disabled because of depression or some minor ailment. People with medicaid come to the ER for toe pain, back pain, cough, sniffles, and all sorts of silly reasons. Wasting tax dollars on "emergencies" once or twice a week. How do you feel about this?? Also, when women have children and do not work, the government gives them free housing, medical, and a money card. While women who have children and try to work, can't even get supplemental assistance. What is wrong with the system??

Now, I can work out that the guy's name is Heinrich Kock and that the Hus probably means he was an Hussar. But the MGI has me scratching my head. Any ideas?
