Find me one example of it working, and I'll listen to what you have to say.

As for me I'm going to go get some sleep. Tomorrow I have to go to my JOB. And when I come home from my JOB I have to fill out some paperwork so I can go back to COLLEGE, so I can LEARN. LEARNING will get me a better JOB, not to mention it will make me a better, happier person. Having a better JOB will also contribute to my happiness and betterment as a person.....

Is the picture getting clearer?

We live in Illinois. MY husband broke his elbow at work and was out for 2 days before the doctor, company doctor mind you, cleared him to go back on light duty. His boss isn't letting him back until he is off light duty because she says there is no work for him, even though he could run the cash register, or do his actual job and manage the place, instead of picking up everyone else's slack. He is on salary but since he isn't working at all, they are saying he isn't getting a paycheck until he comes back. Is this legal? He can't collect workers comp. because he can work! I think it is also work mentioning, just for the sake of bitching, that he has worked 65 hours or better every week for the last 5 years, ontop of school, and they have payed him cash most of the time. What can we do in this situation, because we are getting the gut feeling they are trying to make him quit, or find a way to not let him back.

I only ask because in order to top Nixon's "strongly disapprove" percentage, a president would truly have to be a miserable failure of epic proportion.

...I mean seriously, you have to really work hard at F**king up to get that kind of approval rating. If you were in any type of job, from Mcdonalds to Mirosoft and you only had 25% approval rating from customers, co-workers, management, etc etc., how long would you really last? So, I'm still scratchin my head wondering how Bush has served not one, but two terms. Anyone else understand this? Sure he started out with a higher approval rating,,umm maybe 35% or whatever, but still even Rep's advisers to Bush finally got sick of it and left.

You're right, illegal immigrants deserve to be deported; HOWEVER, why should the children suffer? Here's the problem. Let's say José and María from Mexico jump the border and have a kid here, who we will name Jesús. The kid grows up here, goes to American schools, grows up speaking English, and knows nothing but the lifestyle of the US. When Jesús is 10 years old, immigration discovers that José and María were illegal immigrants and decides to deport them. A lot of people might think Jesús doesn't deserve citizenship because his parents were illegals, so therefore he should be deported too. Unfortunately, this is totally unfair. Jesús didn't choose to be born in the US to illegal immigrant parents. All he's ever known is the US and he probably has greater allegiance to the US than he ever will to Mexico, a country he's probably never been to. So is it fair to uproot his life and send him to a country with a lower standard of living just because he had two lawbreaking parents?

Here in NY a DL is used as a means of becoming a registered voter. Are Pro-Illegals for voter fraud? Because thats what would happen.

Why can't they get an International DL like I had to get in mexico and like visiting immigrants get in nations all over the globe?

When did a DL become a right and not a privelage?

A US citizen in most states has to show 10pts of ID(passport,ss card, birth certificate, etc) in NY before getting a License.

Does this mean the 77% of New Yorkers who oppose this can sue the state of NY for discrimination?

Does this idea seem insane to anyone else????

My mom found out today that somebody has gotten a hold of her atm card, and pin, and over the last month or so has stolen over $1000. We think we know who did it, but don't have any proof so we are letting the bank, and police handle it.

The reason I care though, is if it IS the person I am thinking of, his mom just died. And I really don't care about him at the moment, but his Dad is hanging by a tread. She basically died a slow and painful death for two years, and there was NOTHING he could do but watch. So if it was his son, I want to know what kind of punishment is in store.

Now I live in Canada so i dont plan on voting for the 2008 election anytime soon, but one question still rings through my mind. How much support does Ron Paul actually have? I keep getting really mixed messages here, there are several polls that claim Ron Paul has little if any support, but at the same time I see his name all over the net, all over yahoo, videosift, youtube, everywhere.

One of my students from last year was killed last night by a hit and run driver while he was standing still on his motorcycle at a stop light. The person who killed him has not been found.
I am very saddened by his death, as he was very bright.
So many young people are killed in car accidents, what can we do to prepare them better?
