You guys really think it takes nearly 1 trillion over 4 years for our military to police a country with only 130,000 to 160,000 troops!

US has no health care because its government prioritizes invading other countries. Likewise, most of the leaders are engaged in the insurance business and it is the reason why they are not in favor of the national health care.

Trust me, if what you say is in fact correct, you do NOT want to be on the receiving end of the health care being provided to Afghanistan.

I've never heard of us providing the Middle East with Health Care. I know that we provide prisoners at Gitmo Health Care, but not the Middle East.
And the reason is simple... Conservatives don't want it.
For the past 7 years, they've gotten their way. Hopefully in 2008, that'll change.

because health care is not a money maker.
Wars are a big big money maker.
bu$h and his buddies are making billions on the war.
If we spend billions of dollars on this war some one is making billions. I wonder just who.
We need someone like Chaves to look after the people and not big business.
bu$h just asked congress for 150 billion more and got it.
poor sick children asked for support of 34 billion over 5 years and bu$h said it is too expensive. I do not understand.
they are our kids health. but buying more stuff for a war is ok.

You answered your own question. Bush is a moronic, evil insane, idiot. But I'm preachin' to the choir here. You would THINK that AMERICA would have national health care, but NO. Think of all of the money the drug companies are raking in. I have epilepsy and one of the drugs I take for it costs $1,000 a month. ( I have insurance so I don't pay that much!) but still, this is a ridiculous situation. Gee, thanks, Bush, you fool!

Big deal - we'll get all the money back into our economy when they come here for medical treatment in order to avoid the year long waits for medical care common to universal systems. The Canadians already come here on a regular basis for that reason.

Well, the US is trapped in its Capitalism. When it comes to social care it is granted only if there are economical interests... and and Iraq there are some interests going on....
