...I mean seriously, you have to really work hard at F**king up to get that kind of approval rating. If you were in any type of job, from Mcdonalds to Mirosoft and you only had 25% approval rating from customers, co-workers, management, etc etc., how long would you really last? So, I'm still scratchin my head wondering how Bush has served not one, but two terms. Anyone else understand this? Sure he started out with a higher approval rating,,umm maybe 35% or whatever, but still even Rep's advisers to Bush finally got sick of it and left.

Nightwing...you were trying to make a good point, but fell a little short. Bush became unpopular because he lied about the reason for war in Iraq. He had a personal agenda and attacked a country that held no threat to the US. As far as my parents, I respect them more for punishing me as a child, it gave me responsibility, respect and pride for being a good person. Guess you threw a tantrom and got a new BMW for your B-Day.

Well, if that shocks you, perhaps you should take a look at Congress's rating...it was 14% last i saw, some touted it as low as 9% at its dip.
And its much deserved. Congress did pass the raising of the minimum wage, but nothing else. They've tried to defund the war 55 separate times, they've been demoralizing the troops, taking swipes at Bush, some have been kicking down America's reputation all over the world where they spoke (like Bill Clinton, Carter, etc) The speaker when on a tax payer's expense spree to terrorist nations which isn't her job to talk to our enemies and undermine the Government.
Where is the work of the people in all this ?
They tried to sneak immigration reform by the People and we all disagreed and slapped it down. They haven't accomplished anything.
Bush is unpopular largly because of the war. It has dragged on and your talking about a delicate situation where your asking a country that's been broken down and terrorized to pick up their arms and fight for freedom...a concept they haven't known. Even with the dismal approval rating, it still isn't the worse for a president.
What would your approval ratings be for your mom or dad when you were a kid and they punished you.
Being president isn't easy, and Mr. Bush has done or attempted many initiatives that he could have just kicked down to the next president and not tackled.

He didn't deserve a second term, but at the time of his re-election things in Iraq weren't as bad, his approval ratings were higher, around 50%, and they set it up so that gay marriage was a big issue by putting anti-gay marriage initiatives on the ballot in ten major states, which created a favorable environment for Republicans, Bush won 9 of those 10 states and the Republicans swept the Senate. The exit polls showed that "moral values" was the biggest issue, trumping the war in Iraq, terrorism, and the economy. but I still don't think he deserved a second term, Kerry was nothing special, in fact I think if he won in 04 he would lose this time around but still.

The Gallup Poll recently took measure of the public's view of the current, Democratic controlled Congress and found, tracking with other recent polls, that Congress' approval rating was at 18 percent. This rating may well prove to be the death knell for the Presidential hopes of both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
The reason that public approval for the Democratic controlled Congress is just a few points above that of Osama bin Laden is no mystery. Except for a minimum wage increase, the Democratic controlled Congress has accomplished nothing. While promising to run the most "ethical Congress in history", Democratic leaders Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have instead run the most ethically challenged Congress in history. Far from getting rid of earmarks (i.e. pork barrel spending), the Democrats in Congress have found new ways to hide them.

I bet some right wing troll will bring up the 11% Congressional approval rating without going into detail to show that Democrats have a 29% approval rating and Republicans have a 19% rating when asked in the last Harris poll. http://www.pollingreport.com/cong_rep.htm

I'm sure many will point out that the approval rating of the Democratic Congress is low as well, but Bush being granted a second term in office is proof to me that American's are undereducated.

I do and so many more are beginning to realize that 90% of the Bashing false. More and more people are beginning to also realize that he has done very well with all the unpredictable events he has had to endure with this country. The biggest is that most of the populous of this country don't waste time on taking polls, thats mainly for the snivelers. So the true story is that maybe all those polls are very inaccurate.

To be fair, it isn't just Bush that has an abysmal approval rating. The Democratic house has one lower then that.
If I had to guess, I'd say that the average American is completely fed up with the corruption that is known to be Washington D.C.
People are finally figuring it out. I wonder what took them so long.

He will be out of a job because he can't run again.
What type of excuse will your 9% commucrat congress and house try to use when they are shown the door, given the boot, kicked out of office, voted out of office or grabbed by the seat of their pants and dresses and thrown on the street?
Well?

Uh the 24% approval rating is the Democratically controlled Congress. Not that I like Bush I think he has done a crappy job but before you go blame him for everything look at Capital Hill first.

I guess congress is just making him look good with their 12 to 17% approval rating.
And some of these in congress have been completely ineffective longer then the current administration has been in office.
