Find me one example of it working, and I'll listen to what you have to say.
As for me I'm going to go get some sleep. Tomorrow I have to go to my JOB. And when I come home from my JOB I have to fill out some paperwork so I can go back to COLLEGE, so I can LEARN. LEARNING will get me a better JOB, not to mention it will make me a better, happier person. Having a better JOB will also contribute to my happiness and betterment as a person.....
Is the picture getting clearer?

Ahhh "JJ", you mistook "job" for money.
I actually said learning and happiness were what's important to me, not money. Money helps, but if you haven't noticed, college COSTS money, not the other way around.

yeah let me work in a society where I can work harder than the next guy so I can get the same pay. Where I have no incentive to try harder.where there is no competition I become complacent and lose my creativity and my identity where I have to wait in food lines and have a restricted source of information.Would you stunt the growth of one child so the other could catch up?

Notice how JJ says, "I like the idea of Equality".
Well anything earned is at the cost of something else.
The Socialist Left embraces Equality. The Neocons and New Right embraces Order. The Libertarians and Old Right embrace Freedom.
If you pick any one, there is a cost of the others. If you choose Equality or Order, you will lose your Freedom. It is the way of the world.
I believe Freedom is the best way. But there has never truly been freedom anywhere in the world yet. Even the USA, has never experienced it, free of warfare, for any extended period of time.
In order to understand what is truly going on with our world, I shall write a history lesson for you.
The reason we have always had hardship, is our "free market system" is really controlled by an elite banking families, let's focus first on Rothschild family.
Rothschild, after Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo, this is fact, was able to buy the entire British stock market. Rothschild had an agent observing Waterloo who reported to him a full 20 hours before anyone else, that Napoleon had lost. Rothschild faked a sad attitude, and began selling his shares. This started a panicked selling of stock, and Rothschild proceeded to buy the entire English stock market for pennies on the dollar. He swallowed the entire market for a fraction of it's worth. From then on he turned his attention to control of other countries.
I notice, from 1776 to 1812, the invasion of Tripoli to fight Muslim pirates, the quasi-war with France, then the British invasion in 1812 because Jefferson refused to allow the National Bank, owned by Rothschild and other British investor interests, to renew it's charter, effectively abolishing it. Then by the 1830's Andrew Jackson had to put down a secession movement started by those same Rothschild interests in South Carolina (nullification crisis) and the first ever assasination attempt on a president was on Jackson, BECAUSE he abolished the SECOND national bank (persistent buggers).
Then again the secession cause came back in the 1860's as Abe Lincoln refused a national bank, and Rothschild set into motion a divide and conquer strategy. The South was quickly supported with funds from the Britain, to ensure the war lasted, and encouraged to open fire on Union troops to start the war as was done on Fort Sumter (Lincoln had allowed the South to secede for almost 6 months, it wasn't until Jefferson ordered them to shoot upon and kill union soldiers, most would agree a suicidal and stupid move if he truly did care about peaceable secession, that war began).
FACT: England sent 100,000 troops to Canada to retake the North. France invaded Mexico and was poised to take back the South if France won, this is why Abraham Lincoln sent US troops to Mexico in Mexican uniforms who defeated the French on the 5th of May, creating the Cinco de Mayo holiday.
Luckily, Russia sent it's pacific fleet to the US atlantic and said any attack upon the Union would be an attack upon Russia, deterring England and France from further invasion attempts. Russia also made an Emancipation Manifesto toward serfdom, removing it, and giving Abraham Lincoln the political momentum needed for his own Emancipation Proclamation.
Then fast forward, past Reconstruction, Spanish American War, invasions into central americas and other conquests, to 1913. The establishment of the third national bank, as we died in 1812 to defeat, so they renewed in 1912-1913 via the "Federal Reserve" Corporation, by Paul "We shall have world government by conquest or consent" Walburg, JP Morgan, and the Rockefellers. All known friends and business partners (I say puppets) of Rothschild.
What's most ironic of all I wrote above is that it is fact. For the most part, undisputed fact.

How naive do you have to be to believe that the only reason communism has never worked is because the people that were running it were greedy? Is it so difficult to realize that when a work incentive is removed and those who work hard will get the same reward as those who do little or nothing, that everyone will strive to do nothing? If success is not rewarded, it is the same as if it is punished.

At least you asked, a Communist government wouldn't have. If you didn't comply with the governmen't wishes, you'd be sent to a firing squad and shot dead, for being a traitor.

So true. All these idiots with their utopian dreams of communism.
Just like you said SHOW ME A SUCCESSFUL COMMUNIST SOCIETY.
They can't, they only need to look at the mess that venezuela is going through to see that communism is a joke and will NEVER work.

Yes, because life is all about money!! I hope you really don't think that.
Communism never worked because the people running it were greedy. It can work, though. And I hope it does soon, so that you will not be any better than anyone else.
And I'm not lazy, so that is not why I embrace this system. I just like the idea of equality.
If learning and happiness is what is important to you, why do you not want to live under communism?
TheOnlyBeldin, Ideally, people will be forced to work. That is incentive enough. And people don't need money to be happy, btw.

Only if we can stop accusing everyone who doesn't agree with us of being a communist.
And despite what your hate-radio pundits tell you, not everyone who disagrees with you is a welfare mom or jobless bum. We're all impressed that you have a job and are going to school. I'm sure your mom is very proud.
