unpopular with the american people I mean.
Like his war in Iraq, his wanting to give amnesty and guest worker status and not securing the border, his wanting to kill social security..etc....it seems on all these big Bush positions he went out and tried to convince the american people that they were wrong and that he was right...and the american people said to him "NO SALE".

Simple, they weren't his ideas. It isn't that hard to figure out.

So whose ideas exactly were they? Looks to me like the reason or intent of these executed ideas are meant to piss of the American people, but why? Well, it serves to allow the controlling of America with an ironfist once the balloon of anger pops.

The economy's current downfall is helping speed up the process. Everything seems to be setting up and has been set up just so...it had to be intentional.

I would guess its probably a combination of the American rich and some foreign government's making a deal for more wealth.

Yeah, we've said no sale. But guys like that don't listen.

In fairness, while I hate the war (and hated it the day we decided to take 'revenge' on an entire region for the acts of a few individuals), guest worker status isn't going far enough.

Why don't we just put every immigrant through the immigration process, and if they can't become citizens, get rid of them? For once, maybe Bush is being too nice.

As for killing social security, it's kind of like Kennedy killing the fashion of men wearing hats in public; it was on its way out anyway, he just put the bullet in its head. Social security is a scam anyway. Welfare with wrinkles...

But to answer your question in a rantless fashion, I doubt George W. Bush (or his dad) has EVER wondered why his ideas are unpopular. To him, they're probably the best things ever, and should be immortalized in stone tablets like the Code of Hammurabi.

W never second guesses himself. Being from a wealthy family, that uses it's wealth and privilege to get what he wants, from a coveted slot in the Texas Air National Guard, by using his fathers friends and connections, bypassing those that were waiting their turns, so that he would not have to serve in active duty. The national guards in the Viet Nam era, rarely were ever called up for active duty. Dan Quail did the same thing in his home guard as well. I bet if it was researched it would show many of the sons of the wealthy and the privilege hid out in their states national guards. Sorry I went off subject. Then when Bush was digging his dry holes for oil in Texas, his daddy friends formed a consortium to bail him out and pay him a fortune for his failed company. The list goes on. So he just figures that it's just a matter of time before one of his daddy friends bail him out again. The problem is the American people will pay this time for his failures both with the life's and limbs off our solders and our treasury as well

Well, I disagree with a lot of Bush's work... However, the Patriot Act is what we need in this country. I'm sick and tired of people having private conversations and saying racial slurs, curse words, plotting against things, etc. So... I like Bush's big government philosophy - if he'd get rid of the 1st amendment I'd be so happy - but otherwise... He's made some mistakes.

Oh no, how dare you say whatever you want in a private conversation! Thats the typical neo con thought process right there, get rid of the first amendment.

I think people lie to him and tell him he's doing great.

I truly believe that the white house has fake TV programs so he doesn't see the jokes made about him. And fake internet with sites praising him.

Yea, he's living in his own little world.

No only does Bush have a speech problem, he has a hearing one as well. We are saying, " You are the president from hell, George". He thinks we are saying " You are doing a Helluva job, Georgie"

Do you think he wonders why he can't pronounce nuclear, or why he can't tell the difference between Austria and Australia?

We need the patriot act to prevent curse words?!?! Now I've heard everything.

No. Bush never struck me as the type of guy that ever put a lot of thought into his actions.

I dont think so. There's a big difference between what is popular and what is necessary.
Kill social security?? Don't you think 60 million baby boomers signing up for social security will hurt it??? What do you suggest??? Bush is a VISIONARY!!!!!
I don't afree with him 100%, but I am thankful for the fact that, thanks in part to him, we still celebrate Christmas as a holiday rather thanh Ramiden.
