Abraham Lincoln. No other President faced the crisis that was our country possibly self-destructing as a result of the Civil War. Lincoln's leadership literally saved our nation.

Thomas Jefferson. Did a lot for individual rights and limiting executive power, ensured state sovereignty and kept the federal system consistent.
