My husband gets FMLA and is able to get up to 6 weeks off when i give birth. I dont work so i dont know how the whole maternity leave works. He said They changed the laws recently and Men get alot of what women get. He said their is a women at his work on maternity leave right now and she is getting paid time off. Does that mean he can get paid time off? Or do you think it all depends on his job. He works for CAT so pretty big corp. I mean even if he doesnt get paid for it i think him being able to have that much time off is amazing! They really are trying to make us equal huh? What do you think?

You’d think he’d be thrilled to get away without being shot, wouldn’t you?
Excerpts:
Adrian McKinnon held the suspect -- Tajuan Bullock, 33, of 2963 University Drive -- at gunpoint and told him to sit on the floor until he de¬cided what he was going to do, she said.
"We made this man clean up all the mess he made, piles of stuff, he had thrown out of my drawers and cabi¬nets onto the floor," she said.
Once police arrived, Bul¬lock complained to them about being forced at gun¬point to clean up the home.

It’s too bad that I didn’t catch the burglars who broke into my home four years ago. I’d likely have done the same thing!

For those of you who are into banning guns, the person whose house got broken into could have easily killed this guy and claimed that he felt his life and that of his family was threatened. In Alabama, it’s legal. However, he opted not to. Do you think he’ll initiate a law suit because he had to clean up his mess?

What is the rationale behind allowing middle schools to hand out birth control while High School students can’t even take an aspirin without parental consent….I mean come on….have we lost so much control over our youth that birth control is NEEDED in grade school….

And why the double standard?....twelves year olds can decide for themselves something with such far reaching consequences ...but seventeen year olds don't know if they have a headache?

What do you guys think? I think just because a person has a felony on there record they should in time be able to have the rights to bare arms. Lets say you were 18 and did something stupid like shop lifting and now 10 years down the road you have a family and good job. Your criminal days are over but you still cannot have any type weapon to protect your family. Now I say certain crimes you should not be able to posses any firearms like murder, rape, aggrivated assult with a deadly weapon, etc..... but not all felony convictions should keep you from protecting yourself especially after you have paid debt to society. Keeping felons from carrying weapons in my opinion does not stop crime!!!! There are people everyday without a felony that commit crimes with a weapon and it will never change! Give me your best opinion. God bless!

"President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad adores the Twelfth Imam, and has dedicated much of his public speeches to pleading for his return, and expounding on the importance of preparing for it. He invokes the Mahdi so frequently, is so suggestive of his own divine guidance, that the ordinary, devout Iranian could be easily made to think the two enjoy a special connection."

"Last month Ahmadinejad said publicly that the main mission of the Islamic Revolution is to pave the way for the ... Twelfth Imam."

Are people blinded so much that they can do nothing else but scream about Bush "having a messiah complex and wanting to start WW3?" Sounds to me like they just hate the fact that he's a Christian and not ashamed of it. Or maybe they think he'll spit on their precious church/state myth.

God almighty. There's just no reasoning with them!

I thought liberals were supposed to be big on "self-esteem"?

We always hear from liberals in Education that the way to get a student to learn is to inflate his self-confidence. They believe that the curriculum should be designed, in the words of the National Education Association, to "foster positive self-esteem."
