Because the Education Association is a huge donars to the democratic party. They have a social agenda and are guilty of destroying the once excellent school system we once had. Now due to the changes made to the school system from condemning christianity to lowering scholastic standards, we have the worst school system from all the leading countries.

the Constitution does not say to keep prayer out of schools it just says that the government cannot and should not create a religion that all people must follow...
it is a double standard to think that Democrats push politics into the church but then state that churches and religious groups should not push themselves into politics.

You see, there is this thing called the constitution and it says that Government cannot establish a religion. It does not say that religions cannot be involved in politics.

There is also a tax code, however which says that tax-exempt non-profit corporations cannot be involved in political campaigning.

Do churches skirt the edges of this law? Yes, some do. I would have to say that conservative churches have done that to a much wider and much more agressive way than liberal churches have. Either of them can discuss political issues in terms of the values of their religion. But the law forbids any church from outright advocating a particular candidate of position.

It's about taking away personal freedom and having the government control everything! Extreme democrats are often just socialists in disguise. To be fair, not all democrats believe this, though, it's just a belief that's associated with the party. Separation of church and state was an idea that originated in order to keep the government out of the church, not the other way around. A majority of our founding fathers were Christians, so to say that religion doesn't play a role in government is ridiculous. They wanted a government that would not interfere in religion, hence the first amendment. But freedom of religion provided by the first amendment does not mean freedom from religion. Also, denying God's existence and underplaying His role in anything allows people to do what they want. If God doesn't exist, then we have free reign to do what we want and get away with it; sex, drugs, alcohol, anything. This concept of anything goes is known as moral relativism.

They want control where they should not be, in people's personal lives. Legally the courts and the law cannot prevent a person from praying in schools, all it can do is prevent any school personnel from starting it. If a student wants to hold a prayer meeting during their lunch hour, it is legal, but a teacher cannot do the same.

Ummm...have you ever heard of separation of church and state? Since public schools are funded by the government (both state and federal), wouldn't prayer violate that ideology? It also does not apply because you can choose where and when to go to church and because the government does not fund our churches.

The thing you should be really concerned about is George W. Bush's Faith Based Initiatives, which make the Churches obligated to the Republican party.

I believe in a separation of Church and State, the Faith Based Initiatives, clearly crosses the line.

Not wanting God mentioned "anywhere"is obviously false (typical distortion) . Politiking is churches isn't a violation of the first amendment, organized prayer in school is.

If you're going to teach about God in the schools you have to talk about all the different Gods. The Christian God, the Muslim God, the Jewish God, the Norse Gods, the Greek Gods, the Hindu Gods, the Tao, Buddhism, Shamanic Gods, Native American Gods (in the different forms they exist,) and so on.
