I have to ask this question even though it sounds impossible. My question is: How many of you believe that Bush will declare martial law following a conveinent disaster and prior to the next presidential election to allow himself to become the head of the government as he signed in his new executive authority?

give me specifics, dont just argue vaguely.

With such a staggering number of homeless, and millions leaving the country altogether. Not to mention the widespread poverty, and deaths from the death squards.

And now the deaths that fall out of the civilian contractors.

Lets not forget there was not an Al Queda (IRAQ) until after america removed Saddam and contributed to the chaos in the coutnry for 4 years now.

There is so much corruption in the policing agencies, the army, and the politicians.
To the point where recently politicians went on record saying there will not be a federal government effort.
This is why all the talks have resurfaced for partitioning the country.

NO ONE CAN ARGUE THIS IRAQ POLICY WAS A BLUNDER.
WHEN ARE PEOPLE GOING TO WISE UP AND REMOVE THAT IDIOT WHO LED US INTO IRAQ IN THE FIRST PLACE

(either take out Saddam and the move to other coutries like Dufur, Colombia, etc -- or dont propogate you are trying to help the people, if you wont do for other countrys

600000 people dead and majority of them were innocent and still counting.
4000000 refugees and counting.
no water, no electricity!
destroyed homes and roads and other infrastrures.
disturbed and confused children who had to withness all these killings and distruction, they are the future of that country.
no security at all!
what else?

All I did was show them this.....USa News: — The American military said on saturday that it was investigating a Thursday evening airstrike on a stronghold of insurgent leaders northwest of Baghdad that also killed "nine children" and "six women". The civilian toll is one of the highest to result from a single American military action since the beginning of the Iraq war. The war supporters stated they don't approve of the actions of the USA and regret this happened.

Im not into politics anymore, I use to say .. they're all idiots.. But after watching Rudds speach today, I think he's the man that should be in the seat...

He made some great points about the current government, that they are old and stale and no new ideas for our country...

I tell you, if Rudd does mean what he says he's got my vote!

Did you see it? what do you think? is our current government stale?

fully despite disagreements. It is the only part of yahoo answers where people could across very rude and badly in contrast to other sections where they are kind and helpful. Is there anyway to stop that..even if it is the first time someone ever reads your post they have no problem being rude to you.

I had avoided that section for a while and recently ventured in and see it is still going on..

here are my questions:

1. If you frequent that section of yahoo answers do you tend to resort to attacking people's intelligence and so forth when you answer or don't like something someone else says.

2. why do most people in this section do that?

3. Are you willing to try harder if you do this to try to be more respectful of people even if you disagree with them.

4. Do you generally just ask like this anonymously or in real live interactions too.

Please answer as many of these 4 question as fully as you can..thanks

I want to file a workers comp for my burns that happened when a scalding glass filled with water that was 170 degrees was tilted over my hand by another employee. The thing is, I am a heavy weed smoker, but i wasn't high at that time, i don't do it at work. But will they have me take a drug test, and i come up positive for marijuana, will I get fired from the job as well as being denied workers comp?

Did you know that there have been very recent proposals (within the past 10 years) to split up Eastern Washington and Eastern Oregon. The states are both economically, culturally, and georgraphically different. The West sides have a very rainy, mild climate with millions and millions of people who often think very liberally (especially western Oregon). The east sides have an agriculturally based economy, a very dry climate in most places (dry desert), and sparse populations (The largest city would be Spokane).

My mom's car was towed today in Pasaic, NJ from McDonald's parking lot. She did leave the car there for about an hour in the customer only parking lot. When she went to get the car right afterward, the unprofessional looking men told her to pay $350 fee for towing (it was walking distance from McDonald's), and $35 per day of storage. They said CASH ONLY, and refused to take check or charge. They also did not give her any type of invoice.
Where should be turn about this? Noone can be expected to have $350 on them. I would like to know the maximum fees in state of New Jersey for such services, the related legislation (esp. regarding the fact that they only take cash), and the place/agency my mom can contact. I know that IRS would not be happy about this...
Tomorrow is Sunday, where can we call/go? We really do not want to pay $35 a day.

1) If so, what's the point of the rest of the constitution? Isn't it just redundant?

2) If Bush decides that warrant-less searches, state-sponsored religion, and corporate welfare is good for the "general welfare," doesn't that mean he's working within the constitution?

3) Does a constitutionally limited republic mean anything to you, or should we lose rights every time a slick conman can convince a slim majority of voters?

I support my husband and our soldiers that are risking their lives for us but I 100% don't agree with having this war! I think President Bush is a childish moron who is only keeping our troops in Iraq just to say to america "you can't tell ME what to do!"... I've tried to discuss this with my husband but it's almost like he doesn't care. He doesn't care whos right and whos wrong, he just knows that someone has to defend our counrty and he wants to be a part of it.
Even authority figures involved in the war say that its pointless.
I know I'm probably going to regret asking this, I must... What is your veiw on the war and president Bush?
I want to know the good and bad because I really don't have anyone to talk about this with.
