Looks like we'll be moving sooner than we thought.
What do you think about this?

What will they be saying instead of Mom and Dad?
The children and School will have to refer to us as 'Same sex parent or Opposite sex parent'.
Personally I think Arnold should be deported back to Australia where he came from.

Babydrag your right I also don't want my 5 year old exposed to this and I also don't want him to have to share the bathroom with girls.
This is perversion of the worst kind placing us in a situation where we can't even say anything against this or we'll be sued and our children will have to learn this kind of behavior and there's nothing we can do about it.
I hate this state it just keeps getting worse and worse as each year goes by.
What's next I wonder how much more worse can they make it?

The California Student Civil Rights Act repeals the meaning of “sex” as defined in the Education Code and replaces this definition with “gender” and “sexual orientation” as follows:
"Sex" mean[t] the biological condition or quality of being a male or female human being.
"Gender" means sex, and includes a person's gender identity and gender related appearance and behavior whether or not stereotypically associated with the person's assigned sex at birth.
"Sexual orientation" means heterosexuality, homosexuality, or bisexuality.
The Safe Place to Learn Act declares the intent of the Legislature is that:
“Many school districts are not effectively addressing discrimination and harassment on campus. Less than half of grade 9 pupils express feeling safe at school, while 46 percent of pupils said their schools were not safe for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) pupils.”
“Many teachers have not received training to prevent or respond to illegal discrimination and harassment. A majority of school districts do not require training on how to address discrimination and harassment based on sexual orientation for their elementary, middle, or high school teachers.”
The Civil Rights Act of 2007... (the amendments to the Education Code are towards the end so I will finish reading it after breakfast, but it at a glance it appears to be the exact opposite of the voucher program that should have been added to both of the bills above!) Still reading, verified both ABs have been signed the day before yesterday, but cannot confirm whether the SB has been signed or vetoed. I know it has passed both floor levels and went to the Governor's desk, does anybody have a more updated source? The news article has been dead on so far.
To be continued…

Thank you so very much for bringing this to my attention... I was completely unaware that this had taken place. After this year I will be either moving or home schooling, cause I sure as heck am not exposing my 5 year old to this!
I have nothing against Gay's, Lesbians or same sex marriages. But that is something that my daughter needs to much older to learn about. I will not have her brain washed by the public school system! I most certainly will not send my daughter to school knowing that at 5 years old she could be sharing a bathroom with boys! NO NO and HECK NO!

Edit: removed first post when I saw the #1 response and went and checked the story a little closer. The SB777 quoted had to do with movie industry expenses. The story is probably a complete hoax! If it is not then I bet recall petitions for every politician involved has already been printed.

Blame the liberals I suppose. This just sounds kind of silly to me. We should be focused on keeping religion out of a classroom, not terms such as mom and dad. That just doesn't make any kind of sense. What in the hell else are they going to call them I wonder. Political correctness has gone too far this time.

I think I need a unbiased view of this law. I can't believe everything they say.

Would you care to cite a VALID news source?
Not one thing in that article is true.
It is just Internet gibberish.
