My health teacher tried to tell our class last year that it is illegal for two individuals under the age of eighteen to have sex...I guess it could result in some sort of penalty if parents wanted to press charges...but is it actually illegal like how killing someone is illegal?

A group of friends and I were accused of rape. The accusations were extremely untrue and the girl that made them came clean 3 days later. But the damage has been done. Investigators came to my work place and asked for my DNA infront of my boss. An article was printed in our local paper that reported that there were quote RUMORS that a group was arrested for ashaulting a young women. There were not arrest and the paper did not even have a police report. How can any responsible journalist write that article? My friends mother is being harrassed at work and I get dirty looks everywhere I go. So I'm wondering if it is legal for our paper to report such rumors. We plan on fileing suit against the girl, and the paper if possible. you really can't imagin the humiliation we've had to go through so any advice will really be appreicated.

Under Article V of the U.S. Constitution, an amendment proposed by Congress must be ratified by three-fourths of the states to become part of the Constitution. The Law That Never Was: The fraud of the 16th Amendment and personal income tax is a 1985 book by William J. Benson and Martin J. "Red" Beckman which claims that the Sixteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution — commonly known as the income tax amendment — was never properly ratified. Benson further claimed to have found documents suggesting that some states that had been certified as having ratified the Amendment never voted to ratify it, or voted against ratification. Benson claimed that no states, or only a few states (variously reported as two states or four states), had properly ratified the Amendment.

I know people who refuse to pay tax anymore because of this...research this a bit and let me know what you think

Should we have our turkey talk to the leader of Turkey to unruffle their feathers? After a conversation with President Bush they will be too confused to be angry.

We need 150,000 soldiers in a country of 25 Million, to kill 15 enemies a day, that costs us 300 million per day.

This is not even a war! This is overpriced police work!

Where else do you approve of spending 300 million a day, to kill 15 people half way around the world?

I am really confused about Iraq. From what I understand, the United States NEVER attacks anyone else. We "come-in" to help other governments. Help France in Vietnam. We return-fire after attacked. Hawaii. But we just do not attack anyone else. Especially when they are NO threat to the USA.

So what is with Iraq? And I thought to do ANY of the above, we had to get congress to legally approve these things. Did we ATTACK Iraq? Looks like it to me. Did congress approve legally of the attack. No one can seem to answer that! And what do we call what we are doing in Iraq? It is CERTAINLY NOT A WAR, a conflict, a police action. I call it an Invasion.
And how is the fighting in Iraq "protecting our freedom?" as tv and radio commericals like to say. I understand this is politics, but it just does not make any sense.

This is a very sobering article.

This man lost his son in Iraq: (Please read before answering)http://news.yahoo.com/s/mcclatchy/20071007bcusiraqfamilies_attn_national_editors_ytop

He is just one of the thousands of military family members who have lost a son, daughter, husband, wife, cousin, etc.

My point is this: The Modesto, Calif. , resident said he also knew that the Iraq war was working and that it must work or the deaths of his son and the more than 3,800 other members of the U.S. military would have been in vain.

Honestly now, are you taking that man's account, along with thousands of others into consideration before you scream for a "troop reduction". (Which is just a fancy way for saying cutting and running or capitulating to the Islamofascists.)

Whether the invasion of Iraq is justifiable or not is debatable.

However, since we're there, we might as well fight and finish this war aggressively.

I have never been in trouble with the law (besides traffic tickets), and an employer did a background check on me and called me and asked me if the Law enforcement ever been to my house for any reason. (note: I live with my fiance and we have never called the police for any reason on eachother or on anyone else. My fiance have never been in trouble with the law, not even a parking ticket.) Bottom line is, we never been in trouble, only people we know and that's the people who've never lived with us but have used our address before to get their mail.

How can they even consider passing this resolution about calling what the Turks did as genocide in WW1. Isnt this stupid after 100 years? decideing to do this now? Wouldnt this be akin to say India passing a resolution saying what we did to 2 japanese cities in WW2 as genocide? wouldnt that piss us off too? We are an ally to Turkey. Id think that more important than something that was done 100 years ago by a government that doesnt exist anymore.

Israel is a very small country, less than half the size of San Bernardino County, California. Its Jewish population is approximately 3.5 million, just about the population of Iowa. Compare that to the 22 Arab states, armed to the teeth, and virtually all of them in a state of war with Israel. They have over 140 million inhabitants and a land area larger than that of the United States. From its founding, Israel had to fight every day for its very survival. Of course this has been no problem because the Arabs live in 10 b.c.

Do Muslims needs more land? Look what they have done with the land they have? It's like a GIECO Caveman Commercial. Why not leave the only advanced society in the Middle East alone?
