listeners) would they make enough money to stay on the air? Would people pay "good" money to support them?

They would still, like they do now, have huge corporate sponsors. After all its really their agenda that they tout to begin with. I have listened to their shows, and the commercials (which after all are their sponsors ) These advertisers are 100% behind the sick agenda that Rush promotes.

I don't think they would, but to be fair, a lot of ditto-heads subscribe to the "Limbaugh Letter" and buy Bill O'Reilly's book.

I looked at the other answers that point out that sponsorships are a form of "Listener Support."

The problem with this is that many of the sponsors are kind of disreputable (Gold investments, free civil war coins, identity theft protection, etc). So they're kind of supported by ripping off listeners.

Unfortunately, Liberal commercial talk radio does the same thing.

if a company didnt see the profits of consumers from their investment in a large capital venture such as radio programs they would pull their ads. IE what happened to Air America. so in effect they are supported by listeners with a middle man of the advertisers.

They're already listener supported. Both shows survive based on the ratings. Sponsors pay for commercial time based on the estimated audience/ratings. Listeners purchase the products that are advertised.

Additionally, both sell merchandise associated with their shows, and do quite well.

They are "listener supported" - in every sense of the meaning.
No listeners = no show.

The liberals are doing what they do best: lie about what Rush Limbaugh actually said.

They are listener supported.

Try listening, yourself.

It's liberal talk that can't survive without Government support.

Makes ya wonder what people listen to, don't it?
