A U.S. attack killed 15 civilians, including nine children, northwest of Baghdad — one of the heaviest civilian death tolls in an American operation in recent months.

Or does it kill terrorism?

No. Terrorism is a tactic. What this kind of atrocity does is create more support for the resistance fighters BushCo labels "terrorists," woh are actually Iraqis fighting to get their country back and overthrow Bush's puppet regime.

Terrorism is a tactic. Killing children does not create it. Killing children might lead to acts of revenge, but that is NOT terrorism. Killing children might lead a parent or sibling to join a group that utilizes terrorism as a tactic to accomplish their goals. Therefore, killing children may assist organizations to recruit terrorists, but it does not create terrorism.

Furthermore, terrorists in our eyes are simply warriors in our enemies eyes.

The problem with the Iraq war is that it continues to create enemies. We are the occupiers of Iraq. Security for the population is our responsibility. We have failed miserably because we did not secure the country immediately. Now we blame the Iraqis for not doing their part. They cannot do their part in the current security environment. When you occupy a country law and order must be established at all costs. We NEVER had enough troops on the ground to enforce martial law. We failed the Iraqi people by demonstrating to them that they could resist us.

In my opinion it was planned chaos from the beginning.

I'm tired of the constant verbal abusive attacks upon Turkey, the Turkish people and their government and the Turkish Army. I'm a Turkey supporter and want Turkey in the EU right now. No messing about! Just do it! You do not need to tell me. I am well aware of the Turkish soldier's prowess in battle. Such soldiers are held in very high esteem by the British Army. I'm a civilian and an old solider.

I think that if enough children are killed the people will reject the insurgents and the terrorists. The insurgents/terrorists hide among the civilian population who must be complicit to allow them to do so. Allowing insurgents/terrorists to take cover behind children is a sign of poor parenting skills.

Cons going to war wear those blinders, thinking that if we meant good then killing thousands of civilians will be ignored (?) or maybe forgiven(?)

We are getting into the same stalemate situation Israel is in. On one hand they wanna protect civilians and military as much as they can, but on the other hand it comes at the cost of civilian "casualties".

You have to learn from someone's mistakes and we do not do this. We do create terrorists - we recruit them more the OBL ever imagined! all the evidence proves this.

Absolutely, if a neocon even looks at me wrong it takes a few days and hard liquor before I'm over not wanting to slap them into last year. I can only imagine what the effects of chimps storm troopers on kids today growing up in Iraq is doing to them. Their whole existence would be on getting revenge on the true evil chimpire and who can really blame them?

Well, it really depends. America was unfortunately attacked by provoked terrorists. But as one author put it, going into Iraq may have actually created "more terrorists."

I was once told that most of the terrorists looked up to Sadam for leadership. Now with Saddam out of the picture, the terrorists have in fact exploded and run wild over the world.

I'm not saying Saddam should have stayed in power. I'm saying that there immense consequences now as with almost everything we choose in daily life.

As with Iraqi children dying innocently, I really wish that terrorism would end and the United States can go home. But again, war is war. Let's finish the job rather than pulling out.

Pulling out now would be a terrible mistake and we would have virtually accomplished NOTHING.

what is one supposed to do when families stay when they know there is danger all around them? Many have left, so why didn't those people leave too? They had options, they chose to stay, and in the line of fire. When these things happen sure it causes pain, hurt, understanding sometimes and retaliation sometimes, and certainly doesn't put our troops in good light. But, you know, children can be terrorists too and the schools there are training them that way.

If that were the case, the Amish would be brandishing Molotov cocktails, now. After Columbine, you'd have the Colorado Jihad running rampant.

No, I think terrorists are created by worthless malcontents who only want to destroy, and use a political cause as the excuse.

I don't know, but it is likely the parents of those poor children will lean towards terrorism.
