What would have been the outcome if Bush accepted the offer?
Do you think there would still be a civil war in Iraq?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/worldnews.html?in_article_id=484162

Saddam Hussein offered to step down and go into exile one month before the invasion of Iraq, it was claimed last night.

Fearing defeat, Saddam was prepared to go peacefully in return for £500million ($1billion).

The extraordinary offer was revealed yesterday in a transcript of talks in February 2003 between George Bush and the then Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar at the President's Texas ranch.

The White House refused to comment on the report last night.

But, if verified, it is certain to raise questions in Washington and London over whether the costly four-year war could have been averted.

Only yesterday, the Bush administration asked Congress for another £100billion to finance the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The US led invasion of Iraq was Illegal under International Law.
The US were indeed the first nation to sign the UN Charter in 1945 so they are bound by both domestic and international Law so the invasion of Iraq was not only illegal under international Law, it was also a direct violation of the US Constitution .

A report published in the renound British Medical Journal 'The Lancet' in October 2006, accurately states the total CIVILLIAN death toll from the Iraq invasion at 655,000 civilian deaths.

The United States flagrantly breached the Laws of the UN, and of the US constitution, and have commited 14+ crimes against humanity both during the invasion and during the subsequent occupation.

The US Government, Bush et.al and the Soldiers in the war are, officially, War Criminals.

How do you deal with the worlds most powerfull group of war criminals?

Can the US and indeed the UK civilians be blamed for their indifferance when we are attacked, 'we had it coming?' Comment..

She is lazy and manipulative. She works 3 hours a day, during the evenings when the children are home from school and 4 hours on Saturday. She wants a modification of child support for their three children to include my income because she thinks I have a sizable income. In Maryland is there a way for her to include my income in the calculations? Also is voluntarily impoverished a rule that is generally favored. She has many hours during the day that she could work, she has a college degree and she works part time....by choice. Kids are 10, 14 and 15.

And as a follow up question; I know he is loved here, but why are other countries building statues of him?

Poland to erect statue to Reagan

WARSAW (AFP) — A statue is to be erected in the heart of the Polish capital, Warsaw, in memory of Ronald Reagan, the late US president whom many Poles credit with helping to end communism.

No, not really. There is no justification but, while I have your attention…

Bill Clinton was impeached. He was also disbarred.

Article 2, Section 4--". . .on impeachment for, and on conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes or misdemeanors."

This means Bill Clinton is a convicted criminal (just like Berger).

The Disbarring of Clinton is the first time ever for a sitting President

Bill Clinton was disbarred for lying and for obstructing justice.

Aren’t you proud to say Clinton was a great president?

Now tell us again. Why do felons(voting rights can be reinstated), ILLEGAL aliens & the dead vote Democrat? BECAUSE it is the party of corruption.

A worldwide survey was conducted by the UN. The only question asked was:

" Would you please give your honest opinion about solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the world? "

The survey was a failure:
In Africa they didn't know what "food" meant;
in India they didn't know what "honest" meant;
in Europe they didn't know what "shortage" meant;
in China they didn't know what "opinion" meant;
in the Middle East they didn't know what "solution" meant;
in South America they didn't know what "please" meant;
and in the USA they didn't know what "the rest of the world" meant.

I literally have boxes of the stuff from his service (1938-58) that I have come in to possession of after the death of my grandma. He reached the rank of RSM and fought in North Africa and Burma, and formed part of Heilie Sellasie's personal bodyguard. He also served as a chindit.

I have items of uniform, an old Vickers (?!), medals, archaeological relics, hunted furs, a dispatch motorcycle, and letters addressed personally to him by the Ethiopian Emperor (thank you for your brotherly kindness, I will always remember your service, please visit again soon), Monty (good work RSM, you are a credit to the Army, stay in touch) and the King (your work and sacrifice for this glorious Empire will be spoken of by your family for a hundred generations... thanks to your contributions to the war effort the sun will not set on our sceptred Isle for another thousand years)...

...he knew these men personally, I have photos of him with them during and after WW2. What should I do with it all?

"...The US government has been accused of secretly developing robotic insect spies amid reports of bizarre flying objects hovering in the air above anti-war protests...."

Bernard Crane, a lawyer who was at the same event, said he had "never seen anything like it in my life". He added: "They were large for dragonflies. I thought, 'Is that mechanical or is that alive?'"
The incident has similarities with an alleged sighting at the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York when one peace march participant described on the internet seeing "a jet-black dragonfly hovering about 10 feet off the ground, precisely in the middle of 7th Avenue".
They all described seeing a row of spheres the size of small berries attached along the tails of the "dragonflies".

They also reported seeing at least three together. Mr Louton said that dragonflies never fly in a pack.

Are you simply so overburdened with so much disposable income that you can't wait to see what the new taxes will be next year? Or is it that you love living in a city with so much corruption that it is used as the example for corruption in politics? Possibly the pride that comes with living in a city that is hoping to have the highest sales tax in the country? I know that you have that nice metallic bean there near the lake, but come on, how long are you going to keep putting up with it? Do I even have to mention Todd "I don't care if its right, I'm doing it anyways" Stroeger?
Enjoy your new taxes......and don't hold your breath on the Olympics either...

I'm sure with this latest school shooting in Cleveland that some people are going to start demanding total gun control, but how about thinking about allowing teachers and school staffs to carry concealed weapons to school? Reason one: if kids knew the staff was possible armed they would be less likely to bring a gun to school and start shooting. Reason two: if they did bring a weapon to school, they could be dropped before they could kill very many students and staff. How many people can be killed waiting for the police to show up?

I'm not saying require teachers to be armed, I'm just saying give them the option.

If you support Labor or Liberal, do you believe there is to much legislation and beaurocratic nonsense. I see this mostly at the local Government level. I believe Councils are innept, incompetent and corrupt. Shouldnt we do away with local and State Government and sail under ONE banner? Sydney has health issues, like Brisbane and Melbourne. Police, Defence, Education, Roads & Transport etc. The States are the ones that squable and Councils waste. I dont mind Sydney as the largest City raising the vast majority of GST revenue if its distributed "equally" in Australia, on a "per capita basis" !

After all a single automobile will put out more carcinagines in a day then a smoker will in a life time. I mean if we are going to ban one product for hurting people's lungs we should ban all products that do or the law is discriminatory and not constitutional.

Jimmy Carter has firmly established himself as both America's worst president and American's worst ex-president. But instead of resting on his laurels, he is bellowing to anyone who will listen that the USA tortures prisoners in violation of international law:

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The United States tortures prisoners in violation of international law, former President Carter said Wednesday.
http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/10/10/carter.torture/index.html

Meanwhile, those who perform REAL torture receive nothing but slavish support from Carter:

This is NOT about whether you think Hillary should be president or not. I'm not interested in whether you think she's the best candidate for President or not. I'm not interested in you bashing conservatives or liberals or any group of people that you aren't affiliated with.

What I want to know is this: Can Hillary win an election? Why can she? I've heard that there are enough people in the US who would be uncomfortable with a female president that they'd vote AGAINST her. I've heard that there are enough people that are tired of having just two families in the White House for nearly twenty years. I've heard that republicans are actually hoping and praying that she'll win because she'll be easier to defeat than some of the contenders.

I'd like to know what you think...more than just a one-liner answer, please. There's no hidden agenda to my question...I'd just like to know what thinking people think.

Disclaimer: I'm a conservative who voted for Bill Clinton in 1992.

Acts 4:32-35 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)

32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

35 And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.
