If you support Labor or Liberal, do you believe there is to much legislation and beaurocratic nonsense. I see this mostly at the local Government level. I believe Councils are innept, incompetent and corrupt. Shouldnt we do away with local and State Government and sail under ONE banner? Sydney has health issues, like Brisbane and Melbourne. Police, Defence, Education, Roads & Transport etc. The States are the ones that squable and Councils waste. I dont mind Sydney as the largest City raising the vast majority of GST revenue if its distributed "equally" in Australia, on a "per capita basis" !

Yes as long as the ALL the politicians live in Canberra and never leave it might be a good idea to keep them all together

I'm in the US, so I can only comment in general.

I for one would not want one federal gov't to govern over an area as large as Australia. I'd rather have local decisions made locally. How can someone in Canberra possibly know more about an issue in Perth, maybe 2000 miles away, than someone who lives there? The last great centralized government that tried to micro-manage a large area from one central point collapsed, remember? It was called the Soviet Union.
