The US led invasion of Iraq was Illegal under International Law.
The US were indeed the first nation to sign the UN Charter in 1945 so they are bound by both domestic and international Law so the invasion of Iraq was not only illegal under international Law, it was also a direct violation of the US Constitution .
A report published in the renound British Medical Journal 'The Lancet' in October 2006, accurately states the total CIVILLIAN death toll from the Iraq invasion at 655,000 civilian deaths.
The United States flagrantly breached the Laws of the UN, and of the US constitution, and have commited 14+ crimes against humanity both during the invasion and during the subsequent occupation.
The US Government, Bush et.al and the Soldiers in the war are, officially, War Criminals.
How do you deal with the worlds most powerfull group of war criminals?
Can the US and indeed the UK civilians be blamed for their indifferance when we are attacked, 'we had it coming?' Comment..

Thany you so far for your intelligent and thought provoking comments - we all have a view.
There are many who have commented who DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE INTERNATIONAL LAWS it is a complicated subject so if you do not underatand - please do not comment.
Bush and his administration have not been 'Arrested and tried' as they are too powerfull - who whould arrest them???.
Some people have been personally insulting to me here - thats not what YA is about and shows poor intelligence. Anybody who rants, trolls, or attacks me in any way will be reported - its not necessary.
Lets together share our views on this.
If you are unsure of the Laws and the Facts, a good place to look for a un bias summary of the facts is www.pinkyshow.org and search in the archive 'iraq war:legal or illegal?'

Well, because of our constitution, the U.S. must honor our treaties as the law of the land, so you're right in saying that a violation of UN treaties is a violation of our own laws. Any violation of our own laws by those in power is unacceptable.
My advice is to not stop talking about it and writing about it. Read a lot, get others to engage in a civilized dialogue, and protest through some nonviolent means.
...and nevermind people who tell you 'Move to France' and things like that - that's just showing their ignorance.

I think you are jumping the gun here and falling into political correctness. I have no sympathy with the Blair mob or his crony Bush, but they are far from being war criminals.
Any country has the right to go to war if it feels its interests are threatened. There is no such thing as an illegal war. in the same way a Trade Union will tell you that there is no such thing as an unofficial strike. Do not forget that dear old Saddam led them and the UN a song and dance prior to the invasion. The big error is that insufficient though was given to what would happen after the invasion. As a result they though t they could get away with what happened in Germany after the second world war. The circumstances were different and they should have modelled there administration of the aftermath in a manner similar to that after the conquest of Japan and used Saddam's forces under a tight leash to control civil unrest. As it was the only trained (in part anyway) personnel were dispersed and became a good recruiting ground for the unrest we see now.
Before you start I am angry that I was fooled into supporting the invasion on a lie but having started it I can see little way out short of abject surrender or hanging in. We are faced with lies from the politicians whichever way it is done but this is far from being war criminals

Simple solution the US and UK pull out of the UN and stop all aid to other nations for a term of no less than 50 years after that we can so who is left. Only problem with iraq is Hussein is dead. We should have left him in charge he knew how to deal with all these little snakes. If we hit any countries for having been involved in 9/11 we should have leveled Saudi Arabia.

So according to you, they're war criminals. Ranting about it on YA is a pointless exercise isn't it? Same old claptrap, different day. Apparently, those that are far more experienced in International law than you don't share your distorted opinion or else there would be trials going on in the Hague.
So, relax, breath deeply and take your medications.
FYI, more civilians than combatants have died in every war. The Iraqi War is no different.

Let's break down your commy spewing point by point.
1) Illegal invasion of Iraq. If it is or was illegal, then why have your leaders not arrested Bush and his entire admin? Why did all but two of your leaders vote for the invasion before they were against it? IT'S NOT ILLEGAL!
2) Then why have your leaders not done a single thing to reverse it? Why? IT'S NOT A VIOLATION OF THE CONSTITUTION!
3) Ok, who killed them? They always seem to leave that part out. You commucrats always think that when anyone dies in a war during a republican admin, our soldiers killed them. THIS IS HOW YOU LIBERALS SHOW "SUPPORT YOUR TROOPS".
4) Breached laws. Again, why have your fearless leaders not arrested Bush and his admin? WHY? IT'S NOT ILLEGAL!
5) Now there is a true liberal's troop support. Every soldier is a war criminal. Liars, hypocrites, communists til the end.
6) How do you deal with them. You hang them like Saddam was. That's how!
7) I sure am glad they attacked a blue state. Maybe they will attack the bluest of all next California. Seems they want to kill of the liberal states. Hmmm, Bush may have made his mistake by stopping them.
I love answering communist questions like yours. That why you liberals will not be given the opportunity to keep America safe.

Be very thankful that you live in a country where every four years you can vote out the jerks that you voted in four years ago. And be doubly thankful that no leader, however crazy, would dare to hang on to power once voted out. A lot of the world doesn't have that right.

The UN has caused more problems since its inception, than it has ever solved.
The USA saved the world from the Nazi Party over half a century ago, and how SOON you clowns forget.
We honored our committment to France, in the Viet Nam conflict and still get screwed by them, for our loyalty.
There is a job that needs doing. Yet none of the rest of the world has the brass ones needed to DO it. All you CAN do is COMPLAIN. So WE stick our neck out and the rest of you start swinging with axes. It would serve the rest of this mudball rightly, if we became an isolationsit nation again. Deal with your own problems. We need leadership in this country that isn't afraid of getting dirty, in the process of doing a dirty job that no one else will do. Maybe George W isn't the #1 choice. But at least he's trying. If left to clowns like yourself, we'd all be forced to convert to Islam to survive.
And learn to spell.

The United States of America has responsibility to the people of this nation... not to the international people of the world. We are not under the International Law... we are under the laws of our government.
I bet you wish you only had a brain.
Well, Mr. Scarecrow...Why, anybody can have a brain. That's a very mediocre commodity. Every pusillanimous creature that crawls on the Earth or slinks through slimy seas has a brain. Back where I come from, we have universities, seats of great learning, where men go to become great thinkers. And when they come out, they think deep thoughts and with no more brains than you have. But they have one thing you haven't got: a diploma.

What has the world learned from the war?
Two possible answers:
1) Violence is not a solution.
2) Violence is a solution.
Which do you choose? Are you okay with all people in the world following your choice?
