my husband has told me that a town(city etc.), is allowed only 1 post office with in its limits.if a town small or large opens a new post office ,that town has to change its zip code.so in therey a town that has 11 post offices should 11 zip codes.i think this is wrong.large cities such as Tampa,Fl,Newark,Nj,Las Vegas,Nv(towns that all have several post offices dont have all different zip codes.i have read the defintion of a zip codes and why we have them. i found nothing that says if a town opens a new post office the town in turn has to come up with a new zip code.can anyone explain this to me.i lived in many towns and cities that have many and not as many zip codes.what is the real truth about this.

will I have to pay them in order to keep from getting my credit ruined?
Last night a collection agency call my work asking for me but I was gone so the owner(talk about embarasing) left me a note to call them today, which I did. The collection agent told me that since I live in WI which is a joint propery state I am responcible for the bill too and that they already posted it on my credit(without even consulting me before hand) and that if I wanted it removed I would have to pay them. I payed them immediatly. It was for her apartments electric bill and for a doctor bill neither of which I signed for or had any knowledge of until today. I have three questions: 1. Did they pull a fast one on me and trick me in to paying her bills? 2. May I sue her to recover the the money I am now out since when we filed for divorce I distinctly remember the lawer telling us that one of the papers we signed stated that from that moment on we were responcble for our own finances his example was

So who the heck is Moveon.org trying to influence to get the US troops out of Iraq? The Democrat voters who will eventually vote for the Democrat politicians who don't like Moveon.org & will keep a lot of US troops in Iraq after Bush leaves in 2009?

How ironic will it be that the same people who will vote Hillary into the White House & support moveon.org won't get all US troops out of Iraq in 2009 or anytime soon after?

This is my first time (mock trial) and I really want to learn how to make a closing argument (on behalf of the prosecution). I've looked it up online, but nothing helps. I would also like to know that if the defendant violated a state penal code, if it should be said that the prosecution charges (defendant) of violating (state penal code) and why, and evidence to back it up, in the closing argument. Also, overall, what should it be about? What should be in it? So if anyone can help me, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Under the SCHIP deal they're trying to pass that is just for children(even the ones that don't need it because the parents have enough money or are covered by the parents' insurance) they also want to cover women with children... well children still in their stomach which the last time I checked didn't count as a child to the pro-choice left... Its just a parasitic fetus to them.

So one of the following has happened:

1) Harry Potter waved his magic wand and they all believe a fertilized egg is a child and abortion will be abolished

2) They want it for pregnant women who want an abortion for free(well not really-working people pay for it)

3) Because government dependent people no longer get extra money on welfare for extra children the Dems think this will make up for their 'give free stuff and get votes' and they will start popping out more kids again because they know their health is paid for by the remaining responsible citizens, thus continuing their "neighbor's keeper" policy.

My brother and I have just went through MEPS and we have chosen to go infantry(11B). (can you believe we actually had to beg to get infantry? I thought we were in dire need of more infantry..). I was wondering if anyone knew how soon we would deploy for war once our OSUT is over with.. We are kinda blood thirsty if you know what I mean, we strongly disagree with what those bastards do over there and we want a shot at them asap. Is there any way to request to deploy right after OSUT?

Miracle-Gro has instituted a ban on employee smoking, and America's Next Top Model has done the same. Should businesses be able to fire employees for engaging in legal activities on their private time? PLEASE NOTE that I do not refer to activities which pose security risks or safety risks (i.e. drinking two hours before flying a plane). If possible, please state your job and whether or not bans exist which apply to your free time and legal activities.

I personally don't like the "all immigrants are criminals and should be put in jail" idea, because not all mexicans are mean and
irresponsable. Some just want to start a fresh start, and work.

Today, I entered a store in SE Washington, DC to shop, I had a 4 month old in a stroller. I was immediately stopped by a tall guy, who I guess was the security guard. He said, " You have to take the baby out, and leave the stroller here". I was shocked, I'd never heard anything like that in my life. I said " I guess I can't shop here ", then security guard says, " The other guy, (who I guess works there) will watch the baby". I noticed they didn't have carts for babies, So I left after that, but decided to write the stores address down. Is this LEGAL?????? Please Tell Me.....

Nine day laborers are expected to file a federal lawsuit today challenging the legality of a sting operation in Danbury, Conn., last year that led to their arrest on immigration charges.

Those plaintiffs, and a tenth man whose traffic stop for a noisy muffler resulted in his deportation to Ecuador, contend that their arrests were illegal and part of a campaign based on racial profiling. They also say that the city of Danbury, its mayor, Mark D. Boughton, and its police chief acted to enforce federal immigration law without authority.

At a time when towns across the country are wrestling with how to deal with illegal immigrant residents, and when day laborers are often a flash point of conflict, the lawsuit is the latest in a series of legal challenges to local crackdowns.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 19, 2006, a Danbury police officer posing as a contractor drove an unmarked van belonging to the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency to a park in downtown Danbury where day laborers, many from Ecuador, gather. Pretending to offer $11 an hour to demolish a fence, the officer transported 11 would-be workers to a fenced-in lot where they were arrested, handed over to federal immigration agents and eventually placed in deportation proceedings.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- Thirty four people were arrested by immigration agents in Minnesota in the last week as part of an effort to curb "transnational street gangs."

The alleged gang members are from Mexico, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Somalia U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents say. Of the 34 arrested, 30 are alleged to be illegal aliens connected to gangs including "Sureño-13, Vatos Locos, Rough Tough Somali Crips, and the Mexican Mafia" a news release from immigration officers says.
