He might be going to Okinawa, Japan. Or to Iwakuni, Japan. But, unless he attends and completes a special school with the Marines he's not going to China. The only Marines in China are the Security Guard Detachment at our embassy in Beijing. The last Marine unit in China was the 4th Marine Regiment and that was before World War Two.

I went to China. But only for five days for our ship to pull in. Many Marines go on deployment on board ships, like i did, we pack all our things and sail around stopping ever month or so, just kind of a chance for the US Military to rub elbows with the locals, make sure they know we are around and are generally decent people. My last deployment we went to China, Singapore and the UAE. spent about five days in each port before moving on. Perhaps thats how he is going to China.
The Marines also station a few people in foreign countries. Japan has many Marines permanatly stationed there. Plus Marines are the official gaurds of embassies. One of my Marines got selected for embassy duty.

There are military bases all over the world. During WW2 China was our allied power. And still today the bases that were built during that time most likely still exist and Chinese troops will still have it staffed. It is not surprising that we have some of our own troops there as well. They may be there simply doing their job, or may be there for training others. Who knows. In any case it's not unusual.

Same goes for Japan and Korea... basically all over the world. Korea has a constant supply of U.S. soldiers there.

Keep in mind - Iraq is not the only war we're fighting. The war in Afghanistan is just as much evident.

American military in China? That sounds like someone is pulling your leg.

Unless he's going to be stationed at the Embassy, or something like that. but I think those positions are hard to come by. If he's just a regular soldier, I doubt if he'll be in China.

conflict occurs in Iraq because of the fact united states of america below George Bush invaded that u . s . a . because of the fact the chief there supposedly had weapons of mass destruction which would be a possibility to united states of america and that this chief grow to be between the persons in the back of 9/11. because it became out the Iraq chief did not have weapons of mass destruction and grow to be not in the back of 9/11. Bush grow to be asked to attend and enable the UN inspectors complete their job, yet he grow to be warm to trot to pass to conflict. It has when you consider that been meant that each and every physique which oil basically blinded him and he grew to grow to be accidentally aggressive.
