my husband has told me that a town(city etc.), is allowed only 1 post office with in its limits.if a town small or large opens a new post office ,that town has to change its zip code.so in therey a town that has 11 post offices should 11 zip codes.i think this is wrong.large cities such as Tampa,Fl,Newark,Nj,Las Vegas,Nv(towns that all have several post offices dont have all different zip codes.i have read the defintion of a zip codes and why we have them. i found nothing that says if a town opens a new post office the town in turn has to come up with a new zip code.can anyone explain this to me.i lived in many towns and cities that have many and not as many zip codes.what is the real truth about this.

I agree with you. Las Vegas, NV has one zip code in one of the areas but it has sub-stations. But it does have more than one zip code for each area of the city.

Same with Long Beach, CA each section of the town has a zip code but there are a few substations with the same zip code.

I live in a town that has more than one post office and one zip code . All they did is gave us a extended zip code. we add 4 numbers at the end to say what branch it came from or mail too.

Check with the post office.

The first digit in the ZIP Code indicates a general geographic area of the nation, starting with “0” in the eastern U.S. to “9” to represent areas in the western U.S. The next two numbers in the ZIP Code represent regional areas, and the final two numbers identify specific Post Office™ locations or postal zones.

I'm not certain, but I would guess that each individual post office would need a specific ZIP code, but not each ZIP code would need it's own post office.

You can call 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777) and ask.

No Voldemort would never want to do anything the Muggle way, he is definitely about to kill some one, or maybe he has just gone "postal" ha ha (sorry american humor) I would hate to be able to connect to Voldemort in the way that Harry does, I think that would be awful, unless i was an auror then it would be very beneficial in my professional life, but i would have to be able to use Occlumency so i could block it out when i wasn't on the job. I think Ron would be to afraid to keep something as powerful as the HBP potions book to himself, besides he shares everything with Harry and Hermione. And i believe the Hangman answer is : N y m p h a d o r a T o n k s

Nowhere near true.

Check out a zip code map of Manhattan. I think there are buildings with a unique zip code.
