it should be ok to tell the public about a Clay County political figure that raped me 30 years ago along with his friend, but because of power and money..and the fact that it was 30 years ago I felt I could do nothing then. Now one of them is covering up a sexual assault that happened to his grandson and is forking out the big bucks and using his pull at the court house to protect his family "name" and could careless to the fact that his grandson was sodomized for years. So don't you think it is ok that I let the public know just how terrible these rich bas*ards are? Or will that still be considered slander?

I see all the time where Liberals try to down grade Bush for reading "My Pet Goat" during the 9/11 attacks. My question is what do elementary school students want to be read? I have a nine year old and I know he would not want me to read "War and Peace" to him. So why do you think it is a bad thing to read age approprate books to school students?

I bet if we go back in time to the Liberal Hero Billy Bob, I bet we can find him reading a book like that...or the way Hilary talked down to her audience in Alabama by faking a Southern Accent...please enlighten me...

My husband is active duty AF and we have been at our first duty station for a little over 4 years. We absolutely hate it here (Cannon AFB). He said he has done all that he can do (Updating his "Dream Sheet"). What more can he do to get orders to another CONUS base? He doesn't want to do special duty.
I know the Navy and Coast Guard have "detailers" that they work with. Does the Air Force have someone like this?
Please help!

I want to move to either Miami, South Beach or the Keys. I have 52 college hours completed (towards CJ) and currently live in Texas. I am 26 years old if it matters.
My question is if either Miami PD, Monroe County Sherffs dept, or Miami-Dade Sheriffs dept. (or any others) have their own academy?
I have no idea how Florida works in terms of law enforcement.
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

I guess they get tired of receiving email pointing out the flaws in their reasoning.
It seems to fit with Columbia U. not allowing conservatives to speak, while happily giving despots the national spotlight in the name of free speech.

How about this scenario. A lieutenant is ordered to take a group of 25 soldiers up a hill to take it....using nothing but small arms and with no other support. Problem is the hill is heavily defended by at least 100 enemy soldiers who are well dug in and have grenade launchers and heavy machine guns.
The lieutenant says to his superiors he needs more help. They tell him to get going... What are his options?

Are the motorway police allow to reverse up the hard shoulder of a motorway for 250yrads, purely to get back to a slip road, no emergency or any other reason that can be seen, they were however using their blue lights.
I thought it was illegal to reverse on the motorway, even for the police.

Some days ago read in a local paper that the mayor was saying how much county had improved, and cited how there were less homeless. Apparently he doesn't go out much, not only round the downtown area where there seems to be more always. But also in the beach city area.

Today as I waited for the bus, I couldn't have believed it was for real, if I hadn't seen it myself. There were dozens and dozens just crossing at the intersection. Some seem completely sane, and even healthy, while others are in terrible shape.

This being South Florida someone would say that it's not unusual at beginning of winter for the homeless to move camp here from other states. But we're still in September!

These people need shelters, and recently_authorities had said these had filled up. And if this is any indication, there'll be thousands more in these coming months. But the mayor says all the contrary.

I'm sure i'll get reported, but the current American president is a complete moron. I mean come on, this guy is supposed to be the commander in chief of the most powerful army in the history of the world. He can barely talk, needs words spelled out phonetically, and an admitted average student in high school. Maybe he should be teaching gym class (no offence to gym teachers) instead of being the "leader of the free world". Homer Simpson needed words spelled out phonetically for a big speech also. I'm sure glad we've tied our carriage to that horse, USA! USA! USA! I need a drink. LOL.
ps no need to reply, you can if you want, bring on the thumbs down, and the violation report. YEE HAA

okay so I was at my friends house and I was drinking and didn't want to drive and my friend's girlfriend wanted some cigarettes so I offered to buy her, my friend and me a pack of cigarettes if she'd drive to the nearby store (very generous offer)

well I didn't have cash so I said "you can use my debit card but only get those 3 packs okay?" and she had seen me use it before and I'm guessing she watched me type my pin # because she went to an ATM and got out $20 and THEN went to the store and spent like $16.. then gave me my card back and I didn't find out untill I checked my account yesterday.

I'm thinking she thought I wouldn't notice since I have about 8k in that account.

she doesn't have a job so I already loaned her $200 before.. now I'm kinda mad and I want my money back but if I confront her she'll avoid me and never pay me back...

I just want my money back and I really don't trust being around her anymore. any advice??

I live in KY but last week I got a speeding ticket in Charleston, WV. Does anyone know the laws regaurding traffic school and if it will help my driving record? I haven't paid the ticket yet, I am still unsure what to do. I don't care to pay the fine, I just don't want my insurance to raise. Would it be better to simply pay it by mail, or show up on my court date and talk to the judge. This is my first ticket, I was only going 66, and they caught me when the speed limit goes from 65 to 55mph. I was slowing down before I saw the speed trap:( Thanks for any help you can offer.

Before misleading and hateful left-wing websites , there was TRUTH . Before Left-Wing Liberals began BLAMING America for the world's problems , there was REALITY .
Read this piece that one CANADIAN felt compelled to write after watching America get trashed and bashed by foreignors . THEN , tell me . . . Does it Cause You To Reconsider Now That You Know The TRUTH ?

Broadcast June 5, 1973 - CFRB Radio, Toronto, Ontario

The United States dollar took another pounding on German, French and British exchanges this morning, hitting the lowest point ever known in West Germany. It has declined there by 41% since 1971 and this Canadian thinks it is time to speak up for the Americans as the most generous and possibly the least-appreciated people in all the world. As long as sixty years ago, when I first started to read newspapers, I read of floods on the Yellow River and the Yangtse. Well, who rushed in with men and money to help? The Americans did, that's who.

They have helped control floods on the Nile, the Amazon, the Ganges and the Niger. Today, the rich bottom land of the Mississippi is under water and no foreign land has sent a dollar to help. Germany, Japan and, to a lesser extent, Britain and Italy, were lifted out of the debris of war by the Americans who poured in billions of dollars and forgave other billions in debts. None of those countries is today paying even the interest on its remaining debts to the United States.

When the franc was in danger of collapsing in 1956, it was the Americans who propped it up and their reward was to be insulted and swindled on the streets of Paris. And I was there. I saw that.

When distant cities are hit by earthquakes, it is the United States that hurries into help... Managua Nicaragua is one of the most recent examples. So far this spring, 59 American communities have been flattened by tornadoes. Nobody has helped.

The Marshall Plan... the Truman Policy... all pumped billions upon billions of dollars into discouraged countries. And now, newspapers in those countries are writing about the decadent war-mongering Americans.

I'd like to see one of those countries that is gloating over the erosion of the United States dollar build its own airplanes.

Come on... let's hear it! Does any other country in the world have a plane to equal the Boeing Jumbo Jet, the Lockheed Tristar or the Douglas 10? If so, why don't they fly them? Why do all international lines except Russia fly American planes? Why does no other land on earth even consider putting a man or a women on the moon?

You talk about Japanese technocracy and you get radios. You talk about German technocracy and you get automobiles. You talk about American technocracy and you find men on the moon, not once, but several times ... and safely home again.

You talk about scandals and the Americans put theirs right in the store window for everybody to look at. Even the draft dodgers are not pursued and hounded. They are right here on our streets in Toronto, most of them... unless they are breaking Canadian laws... are getting American dollars from Ma and Pa at home to spend here.

When the Americans get out of this bind... as they will... who could blame them if they said 'the hell with the rest of the world'. Let someone else buy the bonds, let someone else build or repair foreign dams or design foreign buildings that won't shake apart in earthquakes.

When the railways of France, Germany and India were breaking down through age, it was the Americans who rebuilt them. When the Pennsylvania Railroad and the New York Central went broke, nobody loaned them an old caboose. Both of them are still broke. I can name to you 5,000 times when the Americans raced to the help of other people in trouble.

Can you name to me even one time when someone else raced to the Americans in trouble? I don't think there was outside help even during the San Francisco earthquake.

Our neighbours have faced it alone and I am one Canadian who is damned tired of hearing them kicked around. They will come out of this thing with their flag high. And when they do, they are entitled to thumb their noses at the lands that are gloating over their present troubles.

I hope Canada is not one of these. But there are many smug, self-righteous Canadians. And finally, the American Red Cross was told at its 48th Annual meeting in New Orleans this morning that it was broke.

This year's disasters... with the year less than half-over... has taken it all and nobody... but nobody... has helped.

I know this is more of a legal question, but I've come across someone who was sexually assaulted, became angry after it was over, and shot someone who later died. This happened years ago so no they didn't call the police or call someone for help, etc., they just acted out of anger. However they insist they were not shooting to kill, just to injure because of what happened. He has been charged with murder. Wouldn't it be a lesser charge like negligent homicide or manslaughter or something that carried a lesser sentence? This was in Texas if it makes a difference...
