Especially for President. Prime example: Guliani is clearly not a Republican but the media has made him the leading candidate for the Republican nomination

Neo-conservative William Kristol is but one example. The ruling passion of his life seems to involve the United States in as many wars as possible, with as many enemies as he can find or create.

And he's given free reign every Sunday morning on FOX news.

If you were President Truman in 1945, knowing that:

a)The defeat of the Japanese was a matter of time and lives.
b)The invasion of the Home Islands would have created a suicidal defence against any invading force prepared to take heavy casulties beyond reason.
c)Any invasion force facing such fierce resistance would pay a terrible price in lives (which you had sworn an oath to protect).
d)Russian influence would increase in Asia as it had in post war Europe as Stalin was about to honour his treaty obligations now that Germany had been defeated.
e)You had at your disposal a weapon of incredible destructive power, which if used may well bring about an early victory and keep the Soviet war machine from being directed against former allies should the balance of world politics change.
f)That each weapon if used would destroy a complete city, kill thousands upon thousands of civilians instantly, maiming and wounding many thousands more possibly for generations to come.

Students at Columbia showed up to hear Ahmadinejad, who is pretty much intolerance personified, because they supported his freedom of speech and wanted to hear his thoughts.

Meanwhile, Stanford students are screaming for Rumsfeld, Condi, and the whole Hoover Institute to be removed from campus because they support a "neocon war-mongering agenda."

What happened to tolerance and free speech?

Hi, ok...My fiance is in the Army. Well, He is in GA. right now doing his basic training. He don't graduate until November 07'. He is having trouble doing the requirements. He knew of them when he enlisted. But, he thought he could handle it, but now, that he is actually doing it he is having trouble. Oh, and he did a march on the 20th of this month and messed his hip up and they said that he might get a medical discharge, but if not. He wants out. I need help trying to get him out. 1-He isn't fit for this, 2- He is hurt, 3- This isn't the life for him, 4- He is Epoleptic (However you spell that), but, He didn't tell them that when he enlisted. So far he hasn't had any seizers yet, but im worried about him. If he does end up having a seizer then I don't know what will happen. I told him to tell them that he was epoleptic, but he said he can't because they will get him for false information at enlistment. He has 2 kids that are in foster care, a 3 yr. old boy, and a 5 yr. old girl, that need there daddy, and they are trying to take his rights away because he went in the Army. I can't fight for them because we aren't married yet. I need to get him out of this!!!! Can you help me please? ANYONE?

Low to middle income people rarely get a bonus and work without a living wage. The Middle Class is slowly shrinking. The majority of owners do not allow employees to retire and thus keep the majority of the money. Only Wal-Mart offers better benefits. Democrats and Republicans have politicans that are multi-millionaires.

Personallly, I don't give a flip about Columbia letting a piss-ant talk... what does it hurt? I am more annoyed that "the Hills" is still on than a Iranian politician talks crazy in our nation... I actually find THAT entertaining.... I mean I have never heard ANYONE say "gosh, he sure has a point... hmmm"... I mean why are people on here so threatened by this idiot.

BTW, he really isn't very politically powerful in Iran (to anyone that tells me that people like me do a disservice because I don't take him seriously)it is the Ayatollah we should be thinking about. This guy is a figurehead.

I stay in a dorm. I have a roommate, I do not know him. We have seperate rooms, almost like an apartment but no doors leading into the bedrooms.

One day I had gone out to class for most of the morning and when I came back, there were these bunch of guys in the joint room, basically a living room. i had never met them before but they say my roommate let them in. When I went to go talk to my roommate he wasn't in the dorm. I didn't really have time to ask them who they are and all that because I was already late for another class. But when I came back from finishing my last class I had gone to my room to get some money out my drawer and found nothing in it.

Is this a crime? Is there anything I can do about it.
Another thing, later during the day i found out there names.

They thought the 2006 elections were actually a sign that people were listening to them when in reality they weren't.

When Hillary wins the nomination the noise will get louder and louder.

If she wins, she will stay the course in Iraq and the noise will de deafening.

When we win in Iraq you won't hear it anymore.

What do you think about them apples?

I am very unknowlegable about this, and the reading I've done thus far is written way over my head. I have a few questions, hopefully someone can give me some advice/insight in plain english.

Background: I took my ex-roomate to court last December(2006) over close to $2000 in rent/utilites she never paid before she moved out(without informing me beforehand). The judge ruled in my favor. She left for the Army-South Korea- shortly after the hearing. I had to hunt her down in Korea through military friends of my fathers, to even get in contact with her. Here is is almost October, and she still has yet to pay close to half the judgement.

My questions:
What is the time frame for a civil court hearing that she has to pay her debt to me?
What action can I take to make sure she pays me(She is a known liar and thief)?
She is threatening me with using the 'Soldiers and Sailors Act'. Is that applicable to soldiers in Korea(seems to me it only applies to Iraq) and what will that do
