Especially for President. Prime example: Guliani is clearly not a Republican but the media has made him the leading candidate for the Republican nomination

Most of the idiots out there do let the media tell them who to vote for.

Absolutely, the media is dictating the election. The get behind an empty suit, like Obama, a pretty boy, like Romney
and ignore candidates with substance like Ron Paul.
A prime example was the Fox News Republican debate,
where they ignored their own poll which showed Ron Paul
getting more than twice as many votes as any of the so- called "top tier candidates". They violated their own
slogan of "We report, you decide".

I believe some people do.. if people actually bothered to check the candidates voting records and backgrounds Giuliani would not be a front runner.. In fact none of the top tier candidates from both parties would be frontrunners.. We need to elect the person who is best for this country, not just one that can present the best image.. I strongly suggest for anyone that plans to vote to go back and check to see where your candidate stands on the issues..

Guliani is indeed a republican. He's running on the Republican ticket. He may not be the ultra-conservative type, but he's no liberal.

As far as the media is concerned, there isn't a balance anymore, if there ever was.

There's a quote by Hearst that goes something like, "You furnish the pictures and I'll furnish the war." I believe the media is self as self serving as politics, and therefore, as corrupt

The question needs to be... "Do you let the Media dictate who you should vote for ?"
Bottom line.. nobody should. However you have a vast conglomerate of sheeple who just believe everything they read and hear thus alleviating them from the responsibility of having to know something outside of what is directly relevant to them at a given time.

People need to look at the issues a particular canditate is supporting, watch the debates.. and pick for themselves.

Mr. Giuliani is a Republican. He may not be as conservative as other Republicans. I don't pay attention to polls, and especially now when we are more than a year away from the general election.
