I got a $150.00 ticket a few moments ago. Even thought I still got the ticket, my argument to the officer was if he was carrying a nine pound baby on his bladder and it is 90 degrees here, wouldn't he have trouble walking too. The jerk still gave me a ticket!!! Whatever happened to chivalry. lol.

Is it possible to object to the war– the Iraq War– without being told I, “Hate the troops”, “aid the enemy”, “am a hippy” ???? etc etc etc.

For the Supporters of the War, is there anyway, in your mind, an intelligent, thoughtful and responsible citizen could object to the war since its inception? If so, how?

let's say that this country is about to give all the "illegals" a legal status in this country! just the ones that are already living here!

because I have read answers like - " they can go back to their country and apply there"

but

what about if they don't have to go back? Let's just give them the visa

Would you agree?

I just want to read some racist answers

has been all over the news and it shows this cop tazering the woman even though she can't stand up and wasn't fighting or creating big problems until after she'd been tazers several times and then claims she was in fear for her life. How would you react? She admits she was drunk and if the prosecutor's words are correct, she was so drunk she was 3 times over the Ohio legal limit. Wouldn't that put her in the realm of incoherent and unable to follow directions and in need of assistance? What should be done about tazers?

I have been a Democrat and a Republican. I see both spend so much time bickering and fighting over stupid, petty issues.
I'm tired of paying a tax on every little thing and then watch the the goverment at the local, state, and federal level blow a good portion of it on pork barrel spending.
All these taxes: sales tax, income tax, property tax, death tax, lottery and gambling tax, a tax if I buy too expensive of a car. I mean what's next, a tax on tea.............Oh, there's already a tax on that too.
This is not what the Founding Father's had in mind. I'm not talking about Bush or Clinton. I'm sick of them all.
"The people should not fear their goverment. Their goverment should fear them." I think it's time for a change. Am I right?

I looked it up on Florida's website
http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes/index.cfm?StatuteYear=2006

I cannot find the actual law. I found something about a private citizen can make an arrest if ordered buy another peace officer. Then that citizen has the same rights as that officer when assisting.

But I was told by local county and state LEO's, after making some phone calls that a private citizen, not sworn as an LEO, can make an arrest without prior authorization, if the citizen is witnessing an individual commiting a felony. Then that individual must go by the code of conduct to make a adequate arrest listed under FL Code.

I cannot find this part in the code. Can anyone help? Also, if I run into a person and have it confirmed they have a warrant issued for their arrest, can a private citizen also place them under arrest because of that.

Can I please have some serious answers to this question. Thanks.

I guess that would mean he had them, but he got rid of them. If that is true, why didn't he make a show about getting rid of them, and end the sanctions against him? Is he the kind of guy to have a weapon, and get rid of it without getting anything in return?

I understand there either has been or will be a mandate by the FCC that Wireless Base Transmission Stations will need to have 8 hours of power backup, possibly in the form of battery backup. This recommendation came out of Review of the Impact of Hurricane Katrina on Communications Networks.

I'm trying to find out if that "8 Hour Battery Backup" was either a recommendation or some sort of an official mandate/ruling from the FCC?

I was able to find this document on the FCC website, but its just the write-up of the Review. It doesn't specify what any rulings or mandates might have been.

Thanks.

The Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran "requests the pleasure" of my company to dine with H.E. Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The dinner is at the Intercontinental Hotel — with names carefully written out at all the place settings around a rectangular table. There are about 50 of us, academics and journalists mostly. There's Brian Williams across the room, and Christiane Amanpour a few seats down. And at a little after 8pm, on a day when he has already addressed the U.N., the evening after his confrontation at Columbia, a bowing and smiling Mahmoud Admadinejad glides into the room.

We both own home; want him to move; he agrees; still pays mortgage; we put house for sale and we split profit 50/50 right? He owns a business; I don't want any of that but it might be hard to get child support from him because I can't garnish his wages because he works on commissions and keeps bad records. How would that play out? Can I get spousal or just child support? I only ask because I pay everything now but the mortgage which I would not be able to do if we divorced so I need to see what monies I would have to keep a roof over my childs head short of having to move back out of state with my parents and taking him from his dad and friends which I don't want to do.

I don't want the house; its too big; an apartment is fine but even rent on a decent apt. is $1,000 per mo. so I'm trying to figure how I would do that and what his obligation is to me and our child financially in the state of Florida. This is holding me back from making my decision. Any advice?
