Excuse me!! - people in England don't vote for their queen; her position is heredity as defined by laws of succession. British (not just English) people vote for representatives in a parliament, which passes legislation which the Queen is obliged to sign.
The Queen is a figurehead with no power; the president of the US, however, has tremendous power.

You don't 'vote' for a queen in england. The British royalty is nothing more than a figure head nowadays. Instead, they vote for a prime minister, much like the president here in the US.
People care because the US is considered the 'leader of the free-world'. The united states president has a big influence on many aspects (economy, government, etc.,) of other countries. In addition, he also has a heavy influence on the United Nations. So he is in some ways governing other countries as well.

The US is, by far, the strongest super-power in the world, and wields great influence beyond it's own borders, having a significant impact on other nations.
We do care who wins elections in Palestine, Iraq, Iran, Canada, France, etc, because it impacts our nation by altering the potential interaction and policies between nations.
They don't vote for queen, by the way.

This question isn't provocative enough to run it twice! Why do you care what people from other countries are interested in? If you think a queen is "voted" in, you must be very young or a complete isolationist.

The US has an influence in most countries so people want to know what are we up to because they might have to participate, like the war.

i live in germany...and...i think that its important to know whats happening around the world...even it sounds cheesy, but we are one world, and should be more interested, in what is going on
in other Places...sure, i am curious about, who will be the next
president of the U.S....even, Politics and Power has nothing to do with Democracy and People-rights, thesedays...its really
important, that..as i said.."we" look more, to be interested more
in all aspects of other coutries...if you decide not to....thats your personal choice...

Because America's president has to interfere in almost everything that's going on around the world and his decisions affect many countries.
