I just started my sophomore year of college, and I still can't seem to stick to one major in particular. I want whatever I major in to be something that I enjoy, but also has a practical application OUTSIDE of prepping me for law school, "just in case."

So far I've either officially majored, or CONSIDERED majoring in:
-Philosophy with a concentration on law and ethics

-Psychology

-Communications with a concentration on human communication

-English with a concentration on teaching

and lastly

-Business (not sure if it would be management or administration, it just makes sense since i want to do corporate).

The problem is, I'm not sure that all of these would work, simply because I REALLY want to go to USC, and they like for their students to have courses on their transcripts that "require lots of critical thinking and research."

I know that Philosophy requires a TON of critical thinking, but I don't like it.

Can someone PLEASE help me????

Or is it just more blah blah blah

the article:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070926/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bush

the key quote:

"Mr. President, you've got strong friends here," Bush told Karzai after they met for about an hour at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel here. "I expect progress and you expect progress, and I appreciate the report you have given me today."

The two leaders made no direct mention of Afghanistan's soaring drug trade, the unsuccessful search for al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden or the resurgence of the Taliban.

Vigil for slain officer attended by illegal immigrants.
http://www.tucsoncitizen.com/ss/local/63683.php
Nick Erfle, a 33-year old, eight-year police veteran, was shot and killed by 22-year old Erik Jovani Martinez, an illegal immigrant, Tuesday morning.
"We want to remind all of Arizona and the nation that this crime had nothing to do with the legal status of that person, but rather his criminal intentions," said Phoenix resident and CEO of Immigrants Without Borders Elias Bermudez.
Tuesday morning Arizmendiz called into the radio show The Voice of the Immigrant hosted by Bermudez, and asked Latinos and illegal immigrants to attend the evening's vigil in support of Erfle's family.
"We are here to show that we do not agree with this criminal activity" when they are asking people illegally here to attend?
Am I the only one who sees this as wrongfully exploiting a tragedy to further their agenda?

Moderate Libs and Moderate Cons both usally want a small government and powerful rights for the people.

Some share a hate for the Neo-Con President Bush.

The only difference I can see is Cons favor tradition and gradual change. What do you think?

My daughter was married March 25, 2007. Marriage soon ended in late April of 2007. She has been told that she can get an anulment but when she calls lawyers on this they say no she can't. Her husband was very posessive, verbally, and emotionally abusive towards her after they said I DO. She has been through a lot of trauma in her life with the most recent things being a rape in 2004 and victim of an armed robbery in 2006 which has left her with PTSD. He knew all of this before he married her and knew she could not work right now. But yet he used all of this against her due to insecurities he was left with from his 1st wife. He left her home in April and then returned to Michigan in August when he saved up the money to move. Can she get an anullment or not in SC? Even now he abuses and harasses her by phone and computer, calling ot emailing over 20 times a day and accusing her of finding someone else. She can not handle this for a year until they can file for divorce. Please help.

personally, i don't think it's important at all. why should somebody need experience? all they really need is good ideas. some candidates are being criticized or ridiculed for their lack of experience. why should that be important? doesn't government need a constantly revolving door of participants?

Wisconsin Rep. David Obey, a veteran Democrat, recounted how he left the Republican Party during the era of Sen. Joseph McCarthy, R-Wis., and said that lawmakers have an obligation to criticize their allies as well as their enemies when they go too far.

"I've got an obligation to be equally upset when that kind of juvenile debate emanates from the left," Obey said.

THIS IS MY COUNTRY!

And, because I make this statement

DOES NOT mean I'm against immigration!!!

YOU ARE WELCOME HERE ONLY IN MY COUNTRY if you

come through like everyone else has.

Get a sponsor!

Get a place to lay your head!

Get a job!

Live by OUR rules!

Pay YOUR taxes!

And

LEARN THE LANGUAGE LIKE ALL OTHER

IMMIGRANTS HAVE IN THE PAST!!!

AND PLEASE DON'T DEMAND THAT WE HAND OVER OUR

LIFETIME SAVINGS OF SOCIAL SECURITY FUNDS TO YOU

TO MAKE UP FOR ''YOUR'' LOSSES.

If you don't want to forward this for fear of offending someone,

then YOU'RE PART OF THE PROBLEM!

When will AMERICAN'S STOP giving away THEIR RIGHTS???

We've gone so far the other way ... bent over backwards not to

offend anyone. But it seems no one cares about the AMERICAN

that's being offended!

WAKE UP America !!!

Does Bush actually believe people think he is doing a good job? Why would he think anyone would listen to him?

is this is like someone off the street giving advice to someone on how to do open heart surgery, except there's a small chance the person on the street might know what they are talking about.

I have come to the conclusion that it does no good to post a source on here. Your opponents will say it is biased or not true anyway and those that agree with you do not need the source to begin with.
Your thoughts?

This question is one I have about The MoveOn.org's now infamous ad of a few weeks ago which went after General Petraeus.

Simply, do you think this has harmed the efforts of groups like MoveOn.org to end the war in Iraq? Or the efforts to begin a pullout? I ask this because I think a lot of people were disgusted by the ad and could respond by rallying around the president and his policies?
