What might a judge ask me in court about proving my case to him in court? this is a small claims case about me getting my money for unpaid wages off the books! if you can come up with ideas about what he might ask me i would appriciate it! thanks you all!

i have proven document i did the work, i also have a paper trail. I am going to small claims court because i was not paid for the last two weeks of work due an accident that happened while driving my bosses car. i do know it is illegal to withold income from any employee without writen concent. i also know that i can occur 25 percent intrest on the amount due to withholdings. i would like to get an idea of what questions i might be asked in court.

i have pictures of her books. that proves i was being paid by her. and i also have writen documentation of assignments she had me do.

The judge probably won't ask anything. This is your case, not his. He is just there to rule on the facts. It will be up to you to prepare the case and present it, along with any physical evidence and witnesses.

Don't assume anything. If there is someone or something that can help your case, make sure it is available in the court so you can make your case.

If this is about unpaid wages, time cards will be important. So will the testimony of co workers that can confirm you were at work when you say you were.

If this is for money you earned off the books, you'll have to find some kind of paper trail. Maybe a written job assignment or some other paperwork that proves you did the work, as well as a copy of the work record not showing those hours. It's going to be difficult.

When, where, what was agreed upon and do you have anything written down? Hour notes, travel costs you made...bus tickets and the like.
