every month, but is there any way that i could possibly maybe pay a fee to get one of the checks, for the big amount, earlier than the paper says? thank you

Well, it's a very bad idea and will cost you a lot on money in the long run. But what the heck, why should I stand between you and a big mistake you will later regret.
Contact J G Wentwort and Sons. You will lose at least %60 of the total payout, if not more. But you will get the one big (well, not as big as it could have been, but bigger than the monthly) check.
This is a really bad idea. But that is how you do it.

If your talking about living on SSI your going to have a lot of financial trouble because you won't have a large montly income.
