The only shame was remedied.
Although the constitution does not institutionalize slavery it did count every 5 slaves as 3 people in apportionment of representatives to the House.
(the 3/5 compromise)

No, the amendments help fix it. The shame is in the lack of enforcement of it and how some are so willing to invoke their rights while trying to take away the rights of others.

Our constitution only works if you put God in the center of it. Try it with any other country that doesn't see it that way and that country won't last long.

our founding fathers drafted the most fair document in the time it was written. It has stood the test of time with some needed alterations, but every AMERICAN still swears allegiance to it-every loyal American , that is ,all she wrote!!!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!!
