or not very well known knowledge. I am much smarter than you and you are very dumb and asleep. Listen to me and you can be as smart as I am. Someday I will relish in telling you that I told you so."

Mr Morden, we DO see those issues as well, IF they are actually valid issues, we just happen to disagree upon the solutions to them most of the time.

Libs do seem to think they know what needs to be known. The thing that amuses me is that they think they've lost their country, that the conservatives have changed things from what they used to be. What they don't realize is that before the 1960's there WERE no bleeding hearted liberals in this country. A conservative, Lincoln, signed the Emancipation Proclamation. A conservative, Roosevelt, was the first politician to protect land. The men who drew up the constitution and signed it, who signed the Declaration of Independence, who drew up the Bill of Rights, were ALL conservatives.

There were no bleeding hearted liberals in the government then. This is why it's so ridiculous to give our founding documents a bleeding hearted liberal interpretation, because there WERE no liberals in this country to write them! This country was great and stood strong before there ever was a bleeding hearted liberal to claim it for their own.

Of course, when the 1960's came, and the first bleeding hearted liberals slithered into society, then the society breakdown began, the academic achievement went into the toilet, one parent children, unwed mothers, drug use, VD and all the rest increased off the charts.

Coincidence, of course. Right?

besides that southern white trash fake GED that your mom gave you when you finished your home schooling.

No, they mean, "look at facts which are in the public domain, and then think for yourself". They are confident that certain conclusions are inescapable.

no I believe that anyone who uses that expression, despite their political affiliation, basically means that.

And yeah, to some extent, it is pathetic.

I agree. That sort of rhetoric is over the top.

And if someone is sleeping, I say, let them get their needed rest.

I think it's the liberal equivalent of the Republican 'you're a traitor'...

none of that crap means anything. Just self righteousness. Both sides are loaded with it.
