Hi! I have a bunch of expired coupons that I would really like to send out to someone overseas that can use them. If anyone knows of the address of a military base or whatever, please email me. I would be very happy to help. Thanks! apollia(at)yahoo(dot)com

I have been told through coupon swap groups that there are places overseas that will let military families use coupons up to 6 months after their expiration. I am only trying to help other families that need the extra bits to get by. You guys don't have to go after me about it. If you don't have helpful advice, nobody is making you post!

Actually... thanks to those couple of you with helpful suggestions. I found a great site;
http://www.ocpnet.org/
Which has the addresses and instructions for mailing these coupons to many different bases around the world. Thanks for your help.

Actually, expired coupons are good for an addtional 6 months at commisaries on bases in Asia and Europe. The do this because there are no Sunday papers to get them from, no online coupons allowed and even the ones in the flyers from the commisary expire so quickly. While we lived in Japan, we had started a sharing box through the family support center on our base in Misawa.
My suggestion would be to contact the family support centers on bases overseas...they should have emails listed on the websites for each base...and ask if they can use them. coupons for items like diapers, baby food and baby items are especially popular.

You should be fine just sending them to whomever you would like. I believe that overseas they accept coupons up to 6 months past the expiration date.

Well, if they are expired....I don't think anyone can use them. Military bases don't take expired coupons.
Edit: Sorry, I looked after I answered, and found that indeed they do coupon exchanges overseas. I had no idea, and think it is a wonderful idea. I found lots on info on a Yahoo search. Best of luck

while it is true that OCONUS commissaries take coupons up to six months past their expiration date, there is no program that I know of that allows for such donations. You would have to find a specific individual who lives OCONUS who would be willing to give you their address, as the military no longer accepts generic mail(addressed to "any Soldier/sailor, etc), there must be an indiviudal's name.

What makes you think they would be able to use an expired coupon?
