That's exactly it, you read it here. Where is here, on Yahoo A? Many if not most of the people on here are kids because most of the adults are either working, going to school or have better things to do than be on this dumb board. I'm at work and you might say I get paid to be on this board but then, I own the business.
Don't believe everything you read on these boards. This is here for fun not creativeness or factual comments. The trolls abound on this board.
There is no need for any European to be jealous of the US. We are brothers fighting for the same cause and I'm happy...no PROUD of my European brothers and sisters.

I have lived in both...
The Europeans are envious of the economic success of the US, and wish they had the same presence on the world stage (like they use to have 100 years ago)
But, they dont want to be like the US or become Americans. They are generally happy with their systems, as well as having national pride.
Here is where is make generalizations...
Also, where is the motivation to change your economy or politics (or move) when you make enough to provide for your family comfortably? Europeans generally dont have the same attitude as Americans with money - Americans always want to earn more and work harder for it. Europeans are generally more content to make what they need and enjoy life.
By the way, although the GDP is larger, the population is larger as well - the population is 50% larger, while the GDP is only a little bit larger. Do the math, and you'll see that Europeans have a lower standard of living (on the average), but some countries and areas are higher than the US, and some much lower (im looking at you Eastern Europe).

Envy does nothing for something far more valuable: Friendship.
The problems facing all modern nations are bigger than all of us put together. Cooperation, then - not envy - is best.
I assume many of the comments about envy generate from the phenomenon of "earned insularity". Nations like the U.S. and Japan become insular as they manage feverishly to slap down every problem they can without the help of outside contributors willing to help. We're a proud sort.
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with citizens of any nation wanting their home-land to "pull itself up by the bootstraps". Far from it. But it often results in a state of stress for citizens.
When I traveled abroad, I was warned of culture shock. Yet I never felt it as I entered new lands and didn't think about it. I was too busy learning the languages and customs and making friends. But when I returned home to the U.S. (I DO love my country) I felt something I couldn't define, at first.
Time and introspection revealed that this was culture shock.
Maybe we just demand too much of ourselves, here. As I said, cooperation is far better than envy. I think anything is better than stressing a people to the point of early aging. I don't want to see the U.S. become lax in these expectations we place on ourselves. But it would be so nice to feel that simplicity and acceptance of conversation applied to international interaction.

How do human beings experience whilst one wears a NAZI uniform on the line? I take them to be a minimum of as offensive. Why the version? Do you notice the information in the present day? on the airports. such assorted ought to go through because of the fact of them. One could say it is not all of them, enable them to freshen up thier act internally. Now all of us go through with them here. that's what the government. gets for allowing them to in. France suffers extraordinarily. all people is in basic terms coming here for the money! I confer with POLES and LITHS, and am advised, in the event that they are able to make $500/week there, they does not come here. Europe has subculture. what's here, worldwide wrestling, hustler magazine. pedaphiles. I stay around a brilliant city. Does this happen in Stockholm, or Vienna? i think of not. much less rubbish, much less crime. The haves and the havenots. i'm going to take Vienna, or Zurich. Do your homework the place the ideal cities are. in basic terms Vancouver in this facet of the Atlantic makes the precise ten. I in basic terms tell the data like them or not.

Before I (the brit) married my husband (the yank) people would comment on how great it must feel to know that I'm closer to becoming an American citizen!
It's not uncommon for people to believe that the only world that exists outside of the U.S is a poverty-ridden cesspool of despair!
And No, I do not wish to become an American citizen. I'm very happy to be part of the EU. Thanks!

There is more "economic equality" in Europe but only because they keep people from moving ahead. You're allowed to have a middle-middle-class life but you're not allowed to become financially independent of big government like you are, and like millions of people are becoming, here in the States.

Maybe because they got more space ,and more Nature, more wildlife, ,bigger panoramas .wider roads ,bigger cars ,bigger personal lands. But also a much bigger big brother
European attitudes are friendlier and much more freedom, more tolerance ,less fascism ,and our eating places are more varied and exiting, and we got much more mixtures of cultures .

I wouldn't go as far as to say that the Europeans are jealous against Americans, as much as they tend to resent them. Here's why:
* Who helped bail them out of World War I? The US!
* Who helped bail them out of World War II? The US!
* Who has an economy larger than all of them put together? The US!
* Who doesn't need other countries assistance to defend their national interests? The US!
* Who has the hottest women in the world? The US!
