Yes, they work great! I've already used one in a situation that if I didn't have one, my only alternative would have been deadly force.
Is it just me? I'm getting really tired of the "Parrots" out there that can only cut and paste the same old news stories about how bad Tasers are yet offer nothing new.

Use of Tasers are a NON-lethal alternative to that of lethal or deadly force.
They are better than mace and certainly a great option considering the alternatives.

Yes. Tasers are awesome. I have used mine in the field and they work great.
Taser has never been successfully sued for wrongful death.

I have had to have both done to me for training purposes....I would much rather be tased than pepper sprayed any day. With any non lethal tool it does not always work on people, I have seen people pepper sparyed and had no effect, as well as a couple of suspects tased and had no effect.
