A student beats up another student unconscious and is arrested and jailed and is denied bail for his irresponsibility.

Now the so called 'civil rights' leaders Jackson, Sharpton etc. are rallying in his defence because he happens to be black. Why? Do they mean to say ...'If the whites beat black, it is racial and we will march, if blacks beat whites we will come and march to their defence and release! What kind of nonsense is this?

If someone has to defend themselves against a lawyer working pro bono for a questionably frivolous suit and they successfully defend themselves showing the suit is without merit and the work was done pro bono for someone without much assets can the lawyer doing the pro bono work be made to pay the legal fees of the side who had to defend itself.

In one case I'm thinking of a student has had multiple lawsuits brought by his mother against schools from early grammar school through high school and is having one now where I for the life of me do not see any merit in. Can a lawyer filing the suit be made to pay the legal fees of the people defending.

A friend of mine was involved in an incident with a stolen vehicle it was his friends brothers van, they took it and it broke down. After trying and failing to fix it they left it behind the hospital where the police found it the next day. When I spoke to the cops, I told them what had happened and signed a statment of the story. I now belive that that is the only evidence they have against him. I don't want to be responsible for him going to jail, I feel absolutely horrible.. is there anything that I can do? please help me.

I dont mean he has to have a rifle or gun in this hand but he should at least be doing something. He has all of the secretaries so he basically doesnt have to do anything but tell them to do his job. I feel like if the president give orders to army and all of the other millitary groups, he should have to be in iraq something. How can he be give the label of "Commander-in-Chief" and he doesnt even have to put his live on the line or anything, while the soilders risk there lives everyday in Iraq. The president has a label on him as if he President is better than any other millitary person. Isnt everybody important down to the lowest ranks, if so why doesnt "The President" do any work. He doesnt even write his speeches. The president just has to much power i think the US should do away with the president completely.

I work for a small plumbing company in Ca. I have been looking to start my own business and word must have gotten out, as I was approached by one of the builders that the small company works for and was told the only reason they are still hiring us is because of me. They want me to sub-contract for them. This is a very good opportunuty for me to start my own business with a good client. I have signed no competition clause paperwork, can my company I work for now sue me?
I know it's not good practice, but they would find another company anyway.

I was recently charged (April)with possesion of firearms illegally(2 of them). There is an obscure law that prohibits certain persons from being in possession or otherwise able to obtain a firearm.
I had no knowledge and upon research nor have many hundreds of other people in the same legal predicament I was in. I had obtaind 2 weopons from my fathers estate...I suppossedly had a 10 yr ban above the 3yr probation I had completed back in 2000. ...I was about 27 days short of that ban...I never owned or tried to own any weopons.
To make a long story short...I was looking at 2 yrs state prison and it was reduced to a minor noise violation with a fine...should I have tried to fight the whole thing in a trial and end up in prison or count my blessings and be glad I took the noise violation...which only is a $130 fine...and no other restrictions or probation.
During the Evidence hearing the DA and my atty. had the cops testify diiferent accounts of what happened....

Do you remember what his face looked like? My question is whenever some reporter asks a particularly potent question of President Bush, why does his face get that expression. Also, have you ever seen pictures of chimpanzees contemplating something like a bug on the Discovery Channel? Why when sometimes some reporter asks Bush a question does he get that same look on his face?

iam doing a case about dr. kevorkian at school...iam the defense..i have to tell why what dr kevorkian did was not considered homocide to his patients (dont ask why or dnt go against it, the teacher made us do this assignment..thank u

Think about it, every doctor has a hard time trying to save their patients from death or from a terminally ill patient. Then what are you going to do after you fail and cant save the humans life. Why does our government have the right to determine our wishes on death. Hell they already run how we live. The police can determine our death, with the electric chair.. And what about God. God gave us life, and God can take it away when every God feels like it. Yes God had secured his powers not to interfere with humans lives. Unlike Dr. Kevorkian, his patients want to die. Look and Thomas Youk he had ALS Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. it’s a disease that causes muscle weakness, were you can function your body easily. Thomas had this pain, and there was no cure for it. So which would you rather choose, trying to save a patients life, by using so much technology and so much antibiotics and wasting so much blood, and then after all that you fail to save the patients life or would you choose to end your life in a fast way without suffering most of your going suspect.
