Someone told me that the army was paying civilians $1000 to civilians for each person they could recruit to join the Army (and another $1000 after said recruit completes basic training). Has anyone else heard about this and if so how could I get involved?

it's called the ARAP program and it's actually $2000 for every recruit you sign up, but you have to sponsor them and go with them to the recruiter. They also have to complete basic training. Got some more info.......If the recruit signs up and ships early before their ship date they can get a $20,0000 bonus. YA YOU READ THAT RIGHT

i believe you have to be in the army as a private before you get your pay. then it's 2000 for each person you get to sign the paper work with your name. also, if you get a person [or a few] to join that will help promote you to a higher level of private. my boyfriend's going through the same thing =/
