I recently read an article in the New York Times about prostitues turning to Craigslist instead of the streets. I'd never heard of craigslist but after checking it out, methinks they're onto something. I don't really care either way but I noticed that many of the ads were very careful to state that they would not accept money for sex but that they would accept money for "time/gas" or "donations" or women looking for "generous guys". My question is this: can a women of "questionable repute" offer money for time -- kind of like porn stars get paid for "acting" and go about their trade?

to take care of my elderly mother. Does anyone know how I can apply for visa for the caregiver and which visa category they would fall under? The caregiver is not formally educated beyond high school but she speaks the native language that we speak and has taken care of the elderly in India. She is not a registered nurse.

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

Why is it that if a poor custodial mom cannot make ends meet, we offer her assistance? And if an impoverished noncustodial dad has the same problems, we make him a criminal?

I have been in the Navy for 8 1/2 years, and I have been on a ship, to recruiting duty, and now with a squadron. I am one PT failure away from being discharged honorably with an ADSEP. My chain of command says they can get me a waiver to stay in, but I don't want their waiver........if the navy won't except me the way I am, then I don't need to be part of there organization.........How can I break it to them that I am just going to leave, without taking their waiver without them treating me like crap? I see it coming to that, and why won't they just let me go without pressuring me? There is better money on the other side of the gate.

I know it is deemed "illegal" in many municipalities to change the locks to force an evicted tenant out, but how does this apply to a month to month tenant who has been delinquent in paying rent, has had the police called on him for domestic abuse against his partner, and is engaging in the manufacture and distribution of illegal narcotics from his rented unit? I know that if he refuses to leave, I would have to get the marshall involved, which would bring negative attention to my home, but can I lock him out legally if he refuses to leave peacefully? He's already been arrested for insurance fraud by torching his vehicle and a number of other illegal activities. I simply want him out without a confrontation or having to throw him out by force.

The lack of knowledge about the region behave invasion and occupation has played nicely into the hands of the Iranians....

Something Iran couldn't do on its own with the 10 year war with Saddam's Iraq.

My gf keeps arguing with me about becoming a cop. She keeps saying that I am going to change and she is never going to see me. I take a train to see her so takes about 2 hours to get to her house. I tell her that it gets tiring going to travel. She says that she is not going to see bc the academy is alot of work and its going to keep me busy. Plus she has this girl she work with where she tell my gf that her bf is a p.o. and she never see's them. So I keep hearing this all the time, does anyone who is a p.o. or know a p.o. with a gf, wife, wife a kids, have any probelms with there spouse? Also she keeps using the high divorce rate on p.o.'s agains me. I know it will make her happy if I give it up. The only think I agree with is that she will worry about my life which is normal. She thinks its a wrong career move.

A lot of people believe in the statement about having kids ' If you can't take care of them don't have them' or something in that order. If you believe in this statement then do you believe that the same statement applies to a nation and the world as a whole?

Why is population management such a taboo subject for public figures to talk about? It seems to be the case in most all countries. Wouldn't a smaller population be more manageable and so better for all? Wouldn't it raise the value of all lives?

If we can't take care of them shouldn't we be encouraging people not to have them worldwide?

I recently got arrested for public intoxication. They did not do a breathalizer, but only an eye test with a light. I spent the night in jail and have a fine, community service, and an alochol awareness class to take. I plead no contest to the judge.I recently found out that I can no longer get the degree that I am working towards with an alcohol offense on my record. My parents want me to get an attorney to see if I can get the charge dropped. It is my first offense. Do you think this is possible?

My girlfriend received 50% joint-custody for her 2 children. The father is pushing for full custody and is doing ANYTHING he can to get it. He currently lives with his girlfriend who has 3 children of her own and they have 1 together, this means if he gets full custody they will have 6 children in the household.
The court ordered that the parents get the children for a week and must be returned on Friday at 5 pm. However, since they are going to school they can be picked up from the parent taking over custody on Friday after school. The 3 yr old gets off at 11 am, the 5 yr old 3 pm. The 3 yr old gets every other Friday off, and those days fall on the fathers time and so we cannot pick him up until 5 pm.
Now my question is this: Since the court ordered that the children be picked up after school by the parent taking over custody, does my girlfriend have a chance at losing her part of custody because now the father is getting more than 50% of custody because he gets them "longer"?

He is trying to figure out which branch.... he is a smart kid but as a teen started hanging with the wrong people, not making good decisions, not getting good grades. Never anything that resulted in charges put on him or jail. He is now 18, has his diploma and really needs some discipline (my perspective). He does not feel he is ready to go to Iraq though but says he is ok with long periods away from home. What should I do to lead him in the right direction?
