If you didn't raise such a stink, Iranian Prez would have fallen even lower in the polls in his own country.

Maybe Bush wants him to get re-elected, so he will have a reason to invade another country.

soo easy to manipulate.

Anybody know when the next Iranian Prez election is?
If its befor bush leaves office, you can actually use it as the invasion date.

There's a soldier at work who, through no fault of his own, was not on the duty roster for the last two months. Because of this, one of his NCOs decided that he, and only he, has to take out the trash for the next month. There was no counseling involved, and it is not extra duty. I need a general public ruling. Duty entails working at most two hours more than normal about four days of the month.

Isn't that pretty much like Canada in world war 2 sending soldiers to Europe or for that matter, the USA sending weapons to england before formally entering world war 2? I mean if the Nazis had invaded Mexico, would the USA not have it in its own self interest to help out our southern neighbors as much as possible to try to make sure the nazi imperialist ambitions were deterred??

There's a woman who comes into a restaurant and my sister says this woman is almost ALWAYS mean to her.
This customer does innopriate things like barge into the kitchen to ask for something [at an unreasonable amount of time, like 5 min. later, asking for something]
I think my sister feels abused verbally because this customer has also humiliated her in front of other customers yelling at her waving her check around wanting to pay [even tho she didn't have to wait long]--it's just that obviously other guests come in for dinner.
The owners told her she didn't have to wait on this rude woman, that the bartender could instead. However what if there's no one else there but her? does she have to wait on the b*tch, legally?
does she have a right to yell BACK at the loose cannon?

Do you understand that many of the people (citizens) of other nations are tired of the U.S. having a permanent military presence in their sovereign nations?

This is a motivating factor in why Al Qaeda (an organized group of Muslims from several different countries around the globe) are attacking the U.S..
The U.S. building military bases on their holy land was the 'last straw', as it were!

If China or Russia or whomever had a permanent military presence in the United States wouldn't there be many many citizens in the U.S. who would be motivated to retaliate?

Or is there any legitimate reason to question the credibility of Zbigniew Brzezinski? Or should comments from such people receive heavier consideration if they don't appear to have as much of a vested interest in their (or their party's) reelection?

Brzezinski on Ahmadinejad speaking at Columbia:

"Look, if his views are odious, we can say so, but we have a society of openness," he said. "If we start censoring in advance what it is we like to hear and what we don't hear, we're on a slippery slope."

Santa Fe Independent School District v. Jane Doe (2000)
Issue: School Prayer
Bottom Line:Public schools Cannot Sponsor Religious Activity

Background
A Texas school district allowed a student "chaplain," who had been elected by fellow students, to lead a prayer over the public address system before home football games. Several students and their parents anonymously sued the school district, claiming a violation of what's known as the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment, which states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."

Ruling
The Supreme Court ruled that the school district's policy regarding prayer was unconstitutional. Although led by students, the prayers were still a school-sponsored activity, the Court said, and they were coercive because they placed students in the position of having to participate in a religious ceremony.

"The Constitution demands that schools not force on

It was reported that active duty military who signed up for another 6 years to be spent in Iraq or Afghanistan would get a bonus of $16,000.00. Later, it was reported that the agreement wouldn't be honored, those who had received the money would have to give it back & still honor to serve the 6 years. I haven't heard anything since. Has anyone else heard how this played out? Does anyone wonder why morale is so bad?
