He doesn't oppose the dream act, he just wants more amnesties. If and when the dream act comes to a vote, his will be "yea"

Gee, being I am from Florida, why am I getting the feeling that Martinez up for reelection in the near future. Most down here are outraged that he is carrying the water for W to try to ram it down our throats whether we like it are not. If Martinez wants us to believe that there are only 12 million illegals in the country, he either thinks that we are stupid or he is trying to minimize the numbers to down play the effect that amnesty will have on our way of life and the cost to paid for it. But then again he was elected ( not by me) so it's anybodies guess.

He wants cheap labor for business, which isn't tied in, and he doesn't want to give away pieces and 'address' the more sympathetic groups until he gets full amnesty and work programs going forward.

At least, that is my read.
